hampton roads at the onset that should change over to rain and wind is going to be very likely as well so snowy mix when rain it's all gonna be in play over the weekend and there's two good chances for some snow. i think a little bit at the beginning and then on the backside is colder air comes in we'll see a transition but how much moisture is still around that's a big question is well so we're still going to be working over the next thirty six hours or so to really pin down all of the snowfall projections everything it's very fluid situation and it's very attractive pendant what i mean by that if the center of low pressure tracks say fifty miles to the south and east of what it's forecast to do that could produce more snow for hampton roads of the tracks fifty miles to the west it would be more rain in the last of the wintry weather. it really depends on exactly where that low is how strong it becomes that we you know we've got an event coming up. temperatures today in the mid maybe mid to upper thirties right now it's

an upper level energy back across kansas you can see some snow flying their bodies down across texas right here weary of low pressure is developing and that's going to come through here late friday into saturday bringing with it the wintry weather so let's take a look of the future cast you can see the clouds off to the southwest today and tonight tomorrow morning we see increasing clouds today mostly sunny. tonight mainly clear early becoming partly cloudy by sunrise the clouds really thicken up. here is seven am still off to the southwest and the morning commute probably gonna be fine but later in the morning and into the early afternoon we start to see more of that makes developing notice the snow out to the west these are the areas where we expect to see more significant accumulations and closer to the coast going to be mormon next to rain and for northeast north carolina just about all rain was going to be watching the winds increasing tomorrow night is the center of low pressure tracks through the area look

friday night into early saturday that makes line off to the northwest as the system pulls through. he start to see that colder air working in and pushing back towards the coast as a system pulls away so saturday night still some snow fly across the inland parts of the area out towards richmond. this is where the snow will likely add up and you can see some of the general range is where it's all snow were all wintry weather fourteen to twenty inches heavy snow around lynchburg up the northern virginia richmond area somewhere just north of richmond ten to twelve inches little farther to the east into the south. lesser amounts are a wee version might be two to three inches something like that which could also see four to five maybe six inches between williamsburg and richmond with the heavier amounts as you go and then closed and the roads more like a trace amount maybe a couple of inches if that colder air comes in on saturday and we get some more so we'll just be watching again continue to update you on those totals
