cincinnati paying your water bill or finding out information about the latest cincinnati city council meeting has never been so easy. as part of a larger effort to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology, the city of cincinnati launched its new- look website today. the design centers on enhancing customer service, providing a better outlet for relaying public information and furthering community engagement efforts. "a website is a lot like a city government; it's important to look great to the outside world but your primary job is to beneficially serve the people who live, work and visit here. we think that's exactly what you're getting with this new website," said city manager harry black. "most of all, we set out to make life easier for cincinnatians by making it easier to interact with us." the administration announced in mid- october its plans to overhaul the existing cincinnati-oh.gov website. while the site was highly functional, it lacked key elements needed to provide real-time resources, highlight the work being done across the city and truly engage users. the goal of the redesign was to better engage the community, make life easier for residents and visitors, streamline business processes, and reduce costs. the city's communications office, who in close coordination with the city's enterprise technology services department led the project, partnered with over-the- rhine-based firm, envoi design, on the look and feel of the tech makeover. envoi previously worked with the city on its new state-of-the-art
