fox19's mike schell...joins us live from uc with the details...mike? mike remote good evening tricia... this is a 5-point-3 million dollar settlement between uc and the family of samuel dubose... but there is alot more to this deal than just money... after two days of mediation...uc and the dubose family agreed on a settllement 3raegan "it was basically putting a price on my daddy's life and all of the memories that we had. it just really wasn't right to me. dubose was shot and killed by uc police officer...ray tensing during a routine traffic stop on july 19th...tensing claimed self defense... despite the fact that..according to county body camera no real threat. behind bars al "this family has worked past few months to resolve this terrible, uc santo ono..expressed his apology ono expressed his apology in a statement saying...quote.. settlement...is that true?? mike remote not necessarily tricia... it's comparable to a "no contest" plea where one side doesn't actually admit that they are guilty... but the family's attorney did say that no one would agree to a mutli- million dollar settlement without recognizing that there is some responsibilty. we reached out to ray tensing's attorney for comment on the settlement. he said one word.
