upwards of wallstreet today as it looks to get back in the black. the dow jones dropped almost 250-points just before yesterday's closing bell...and that was actually better than expected. earlier in the day...it dropped almost 600-points after the price of crude oil tumbled yet again. jessica 2shot also today...states in the northeast are bracing themselves for a huge blizzard. the storm isn't supposed to hit until tomorrow, but it appears baltimore and washington, d-c will get the brunt of it. 50-million people could be impacted. d-c is expected to get up to two feet of snow...the areas worst snowfall in almost a century. the area has equipped some two thousand volunteers with shovels to clear walkways and more than 800 people to clear roads. "if this is a blizzard and we have sustained winds and people lose power and it's cold over a sustained period of time, that would be my biggest concern." "when you're dealing

really want to make sure you have all the available resources that can be deployed. jessica cam meantime...local road crews are out this morning, preparing for whatever mother nature has in store for us tomorrow. fox19 now's jordan vilines is live in camp washington with a closer look. live at this time, the city has 57 vehicles on the road preparing for tomorrow's snow event. crews are currently clearing the snow left over from yesterday and they're also working to pre- treat the roads with pure salt, which they have 21- thousand tons of, as well as calcium. city crews are responsible for clearing more than 3-thousand lane miles of roadway and the city is reporting that, as of this morning, 100-percent of primary roads have been cleared and 50-percent of residential roads have been cleared. along with

on high alert...after a phone call threatening their lives. and it appears isis is behind this latest threat. investigators say someone called the n-y-p-d claiming to have ties to isis and threatened to kill police officers. philadelphia police also received a new threat aroundthe same time as new york city police. galati says: "one of the phone calls indicated isis not the phone call to philadelphia but rather the phone call to new york and we are taking it seriously based on what happened in philadelphia a couple weeks ago." police brass is warning all officers that any call could be a set-up. a man has reportedly turned himself in for questioning, but he has not been charged. jessica ots the woman over my shoulder could steal the show at this year's grammys. adele will be performing at this year's ceremony. the 10-time grammy winner is not eligible to win this year because her latest album was released too late in the year.

a war of words within the city of cincinnati. mayor john cranley and a couple council members are taking turns trading barbs. cranley and council member chris seelbach are expected to meet today, after seelbach sent a scathing email saying the mayor treated people poorly. the email was not that politically correct. seelbach's colleague yvette simpson appears to be taking seelbach's side. its difficult i mean you can look at the meetings that there are times when the mayor can be difficult to work with all i can say is regardless of his crass email to me and mean- spirited reaction, i'm going to offer him a chance to meet tomorrow and will continue to do so because the people want us to not engage in crass politics but to work together for the betterment of cincinnati.

now some relief for citizens of flint, who are dealing with a water crisis. the state has now approved emergency funding... up to 28 million dollars. the mayor, however, says that's not enough. mayor karen weaver/ flint, mi there have been estimates out there, but that's only about infrastructure. that's why we can't say exactly what we need because how do you put a cost what we've done to people. five million federal aid dollars have also been approved for the city but, so far the white house is stopping short of declaring the crisis a federal disaster. meantime, class action lawsuits have been filed... claiming contaminated water is responsible for health issues...from miscarriages to potential learning disabilities in children. the national average to see a movie in theatres, has now hit a record high.

and i'm rob williams... let's get our first look at the forecast with meteorologist catherine bodak. winter weather advisory's for areas of northern kentucky clermont and brown county's go into affect friday morning. winter storm warning for our extreme southern and south eastern kentucky counties. we are watching what could be a major winter storm for our southeastern counties into and including northern ky on friday. this could bring upwards of several inches of snowfall with a foot possible in areas near maysville and as far north as florence and the i 71 76 split we could see anywhere from 4 to 8 inches crossing over into southern clermont county. important note a slight track change of just 100 miles could bring more or less. as of now snow starts early friday morning near 5am and continues through friday evening tapering by saturday morning. snow totals on the ohio and se indiana side of the river could be anywhere from 2 to 3 inches to even less the farther north. we will continue to watch this. for today we are dry with a high of 30 degrees. tonight we drop down to about 20 and a high of 31 friday. toss traffic

scary moments for passengers aboard a delta plane, headed for c-v-g.... officials say the pilot had to make an emergency landing at bradley international airport in connecticut late last night... after the landing gear failed to go up after take-off. those on board got onto another plane... eventually landing at c-v-g without any more issues. a man and woman accused of killing a two year old little girl could find out today when they'll go on trial. rebekah kinner reportedly told a grand jury she let her boyfriend, bradley young, beat her two year old daughter last month. kinsley kinner died from those injuries. now, kinner and young have both pleaded not guilty.. they're due in court today. it's the firrst week of classes in the spring semester at kent state university... and today a controversial associate professor will be in front of his history class, teaching, despite being under an fbi investigation. our sister station in cleveland
