you can see the streets are pretty but that was certainly not the case tonight around town...as everyone was bracing for what snow. the cold is no longer a concern here in maysville... "well how much are we going to get, 10, 12, 15? we're going to have to wait and see" but, what joseph goss and most other people who live here aren't waiting for...is a trip to the store to stock up on essentials" it's a madhouse, i've never seen it this busy...been going here for years. crazy. it's ridiculous...i think black friday was better than it is there right now stephanie bryant is bracing for what could be a long weekend...snowed in, with three young kids. but, city crews are also prepared. tonight, the trucks are loaded with salt...and ready to roll out of these gates as soon as the first snow falls. the worst part about

plow the whole town, usually with overtime and salt...it's about 8 thousand dollars, which is a lot for a town our size. you mind as well say it costs a buck a person kidding and costs aside...mayor david cartmell if they do bear the brunt of the storm as expected, crews will be out early and work around the clock until everything is clear. the key to all this is if it happens and we get the big lick on friday night, if friday night and saturday people will stay off the street and give us a chance to plow and salt at speed, that can throw snow and salt it makes it a lot better than if you're stacked up behind cars. and schools in this area already following that advice... mason county, lewis county, robertson and bracken, as well as augusta independent, closed for friday.

venturing out to his backyard where there's a golf coarse and lots of kids use a portion of it to go sledding. it's a day he and his family will never forget. 911 whats your emergency? we had a sledding accident first run dow the hill with his best friend. he was going face first and couldn't bail out at the last second. hit a tree with his face unfortuately. noah suffered a broken nose, broke a tooth. he has mulitple facial fractures and doctors are evaluating his spine for injuries. his father told me a kid getting this injured sleeding never crossed his mind. when i hear about a sledding accident i think a couple of bumps and bruises. maybe a bloody nose but never this type of damage according to the us consumer product safety commison. there were more than 52,000 sledding or snow tunning accidents in 2014 where people had to be treated in the safety commison also says the majority of injuries happen to kids under the age of 14.his father told

45-year-old thomas sheehan pleaded not guilty to soliciting rape, kidnapping and assault.... he allegedly stole photos of at least a dozen women from their facebook profiles, then posted the images to the site giving out their addresses and asking users to violently rape and kidnap them, and at least two children, of the women. none of the women were ever harmed. "we all just want to stand up and smile at him, to let him know that it's not just this one victim that we are all here together the woman said she once worked with sheehan at boston's logan airport, but she hadn't seen him in more than two decades. sheehan's bail was set at 15-thousand dollars cash. a judge ordered him to wear a gps tracker and stay off the internet "if" he posts bail and is released from jail. 9-1-1 dispatchers have to expect the

not even up and running yet, but now a northern kentucky group wants to expand it across the river. no chyron the northern kentucky streetcar committee met with the covington business council today to present its plan. initially it would go across the taylor southgate bridge with an entry and exit point at newport on the levee, and possibly expand to covington after that. "it's very early in the process and at this point the organizers of the effort have hired a consultant. a washington, d.c. consultant to help them to ascertain what it would take to seek out financial support, political support, and try to make this happen." organizers say there's interest in the project, but there are also big concerns about how to pay for it. they're also hoping it could someday lead to something bigger like light rail. right now winter blast
