i-71 southbound near the ridge road exit is back open after being shut down for a few hours last night due to an accident. 3 cars were involved in that crash... emergency crews say one person was trapped... and suffered minor injuries. the accident remains under investiagion but investigators believe alcohol may be a factor. all lanes were re- opened around 5 o'clock this morning. the east coast is finally getting a break from snow. snow is supposed to stop sometime this morning. nearly 85 million people are affected by the storm that hit the east coast. one of the hardest hit areas is washington d.c. where the cities mayor said 300 9-1-1 calls were answered on friday night alone. caught up with him once he finally made it home...and this story. saturday's snow did more than put a halt to flights across the midwest. it also put a stop to drivers traveling on i-75. "once i got to the london exit, it was all backed up. you couldn't even get off. and i maybe went a mile beyond that and we just came to a halt." vern wooten was traveling from atlanta back to loveland. he says he wait on i-75 for 15 hours. "it was still really snowing hard and it really picked up the snow. that was probably the big thing, for probably the next 5 or 6 hours it really came down and it got realty deep on the interstate while we were sitting there." wooten says he pass the time emailing, surfing the web, and posting on facebook until traffic started to move again. but it was during that time he says something kind happened amid the snowy chaos. "there was a local family that came out and were bringing bottles of

and just giving them to people because they were stranded." wooten says the area was pretty remote and the snow was deep.
