new this morning... both cincinnati police and metro bus officials are investigating after a man is struck and killed in hyde park... another woman, waking up in the hospital. kara dblbx our jessica brown is live at u-c medical center with new information. live we're here at uc medical center because that's where one of the victims is now recovering this morning. 41 year old emily frank is at last check listed in serious condition here. emily and her dad stephen frank were hit by a metro bus while crossing hyde park last night around 7:30. it happened right at erie and edwards her dad died at the years old/ the driver of the cincinnati metro bus was 57 year old patrick......no passengers were

else got hurt. cincnnati police say investigation. live has been a driver tot he hospital police say speed factors in the crash. a boone county highway is open this morning, after a fiery, wrong-way crash sent several hospital and closed the road for hours. officials say 65 year-old michael puckett's truck was struck by a wrong way driver on 237.. then burst into flames. puckett was trapped inside... until one witness jumped in to help. 1:21:36-:44 "he basically called over and said can you help me get out of here. i said yeah and put my phone down and jumped up there"

fire" wiessmann climbed into the bed of puckett's truck and pulled him through the broken back window. puckett is in fair condition at u-c medical center. investigators say they aren't sure why 22 year-old danielle honshell was driving the wrong way. no word on her condition this morning. domestic violence victims could break their rental lease agreements without fear of financial penalties under a bill that has cleared a kentucky house committee. supporters say the measure provides more safety for victims who need to get away from their abusers. the bill won strong bipartisan support. plans are moving forward to put several historic mosaic murals on display at the duke energy convention center. they are currently located in two c- v-g airport terminals set for demolition. a report says several measures will be taken to protect the artwork. the kenton county

jordan's funeral saturday. she's the indianapolis elementary school principal who pushed kids out of the way before she was struck and killed by a school bus. authorities still don't know why the bus lurched forward outside the school tuesday. the widow of a disgraced illinois police officer... has now been idicted. melodie gliniewicz turned herself into police... officials say her husband, fox lake police lieutenant joe gliniewicz, staged his suicide to appear he was gunned down in the line of duty. melodie is accused of helping him steal money from a youth program. officials say they used the funds for a trip to hawaii, and more than 400 restaurant bills. the hunt is still on for three escaped inmates in california... but investigators say five people have been arrested in connection with the prison break. the orange county sheriff says she definitely believes the inmates had outside help and that the investigation is

tyrone patrick......no passengers were on the bus on at the time. and no one else got hurt. cincnnati police say this is an ongoing investigation. "so a driver that has quite a bit of experience.about 10 years.the driver was transported.again.a very upsetting experience for all of us in the metro family and our hearts go out to the family and the people involved." live metro says patrick has been a driver for 10 years...he was briefly taken tot he hospital after the crash for shock. police say speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash.

michigan figures out how to fix their lead-tainted water system, cincinnati is trying similiar situation from ever happening. councilman chris smitherman has orded a report on thousand lead- lined pipes on private property in the city of cincinnati. the goal will be to look at the pipes over the last 5 years and make sure lead isn't the water. "i want to have that public conversation, get the information out and then say, 'hey, how can we help to solve it?'" officials from cincinnati water works say our system here is much different than the one in flint-- mainly because our water is treated in a way that lowers corrosion with pipes. new information new information following a deadly home explosion in adair county, kentucky. officials have identified the victims as mitchell coomer and his wife lori... their one year old granddaughter kinley rodgers... and their friend

of florida shows significant racial disparities in who gets ticketed for minor violations. the a-c-l-u report shows black people were stopped and ticketed twice as often as white people, for not wearing a seatbelt. the report attributed the difference to racial bias...as the percentage of blacks who wear seatbelts is almost identical to whites. rob hplaz the federal reserve did not raise interest rates in their monthly meeting, but they did signal rate hikes are still likely in the months ahead. last month, the fed raised rates for the first time in nearly a decade. while they admitted economic growth has slowed since then...officials say the job market is still improving. and the plan to raise interest rates at least 4 times, in 2016, is still in place. kara ots mcdonalds is
