kentucky youth pastor is waking up in jail this morning... accused of sexually abusing a child. joseph niemeyer is charged with felony counts of sexual abuse, rape and sodomy, of a victim under the age of 12. we confirmed the 53-year-old was a youth pastor for new banklick baptist church in walton. it is unknown if the victim had any connection to the church. tense moments downtown overnight... after smoke filled the basement of mall in the carew crews blocked off streets for a while as they worked to clear the smoke. no one was hurt. take a look at this scene in westwood... s-u-v into the side of an apartment complex. the driver lost

happening now more problems for the automaker is more vehicles ongoing problem with airbags. fox19 now's jessica brown joins us with the latest details. jess hplaz here we go again! another major recall for honda...this time they're recalling more than 2 million vehicles. this because takata explode and hurl passenger compartment. you can add this months where honda recalled more than 5 million cars for the same problem. in total more than 8 million cars have been recalled now. before the automaker focused on recalling older models but now the national highway traffic safety administration said that takata claims that more recent airbags are at risk for exploding...so the recall will effect newer cars. some of the cars affected include the 2007-2011 honda cr-v crossover , 2011-2015 cr-z coupe, the 2009-2014 fit

reopen at 5 a.m. breaking now breaking now... a house fire in has turned deadly. our jordan vilines joins us live from lebanon with what we know right now... a man was found dead in a house fire early thursday, lebanon fire officials said. crews responded to the 400 block of kuntz court about 2:15 a.m. an elderly woman and a man were inside the home when a small fire broke out in a back bedroom, fire officials said. she was alerted to the blaze by a working fire detector and was able to quickly escape. she went to a neighbor's house,

flames were showing from the home when firefighters arrived. they put out the fire, which appears to be on a mattress, fire officials said. that's where they found the man and were unable to revive him. he was pronounced dead at the scene. the cause of the fire remains under investigation. new this morning new this morning.. a middletown woman admits to children... 8 kids were removed from what "horrible" home last week.

show that katina gevedon pleaded guilty to four counts of endangering children.. four additional counts were dropped. she has been ordered back to court for a pre- sentencing report on march 2nd. meantime, her husband anthony gevedon, senior, pleaded not guilty to the same 8 counts.. he will have a pre- trial hearing next week. covington police are piecing together the details of a home invasion. this is a picture of the man shot. his family tells us his name is michael miller. they say he went to this home on warren street to get his stuff when he was shot. the homeowner called police to report an intruder. police would not go into detail about exactly what happened --- but we did catch up with the homeowner who shot miller. "i do want the threats to stop. and i am very willing to prosecute anyone who threatens my family because to me they are committing a crime"
