inches away from a residential neighborhood. the issue to me living in the city we don't odors smelling up our house. that's the only issue. we hear the animal we see the animals it turns out dixie meats is legally zoned in the area according to city officials and got scored 98 percent on a recent inspection in december. we spent about an hour in the store and didn't smell any animlas. the owner mohamed ahmed feels the 4 to 5 people who went to city council used smells as a code word because his store caters to muslims. my suggestion is they complain because the sign outside the store. its an arabic sign. he told us he caters to about 3000 muslims that live in the area and they sell halal meat. which would require animals killed in a way agreeable to isamic law. while we were there 2 animals were killed. the owners did that to prove a point. so you didn't hear any nnoise and you didn't smell anything so you be

the military was thought to be....a move toward true gender equality. now...the question is...should we go one step further? the selective service requires virtually all men between the ages of 18 and 26....even non-citizen residents like refugees...to be registered....most within 30 days of their 18th birthday. women are entirely exempt. now, the top officers in the army and marine corps testified

time for women to register for the draft. consider this...women can't have it both ways. we asked for equality...and it makes sense to take this next step. as much as it pains me to think of any of our young people being sent into harm's way, or being compelled into military service, it comes down to a simple correlation greater opportunity equals greater responsibility. since women are no longer barred from combat roles, the 1981 decision which excluded them from the draft is no longer valid. with our current volunteer military, it doesn't mean men or women have to join, it just means that if we face a future emergency, everyone has an equal stake in defending our freedoms. sot "10 pm reopen" local uber drivers are now sounding off about potential protest this weekend involving the super bowl! nearly 9-thousand drivers in san francisco are

off all service for those trying to get around during the festivities. the reason? a recent fare cut that's causing workers to make less money! today some local drivers responded with a protest of their own.... by refusing to pick up passengers at c-v-g. and while no official protest is planned locally for this sunday... many drivers say they might just stay home! "i think you'll have a lot of drivers that won't even get on! what's the point. why not go watch the game and celebrate and have fun yourself! you're not gonna make any money out there at 80 cents a mile." the fare cut stems from a 25-percent discount being offered to riders that can cut 50- percent of the drivers wages. uber officials are responding to the criticism by saying the rate change is just part of business... affected by a change in ridership. a new bill being proposed in indiana could make it more difficult for women to get an abortion. several state senators are pushing for a law
