landmark church in evendale oldham's neighbors say he was one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. 3teri "it just happened so quick and such a shame." teri keller is david oldham's next door neighbor... 1teri "super nice guy. he kept to himself. very friendly. he walked the neighborhood every day with his dog." teri's husband was the first one in her house to notice the fire around 8:30 this morning... 2teri "looked out and saw it fully in flames, in the back. edit and he went over to try to knock on the door to wake him up or whatever." authorites believe oldham was awake at the time and perhaps was trying to rescue his dog and several cats.. they are focusing their investigation on the back of the house... 1chief "he had space heaters on the enclosed patio in the back and he had kept pets in the back and the space heaters were used for warmth." those who knew him say oldham inherited the house from his parents after his mom passed away about two years ago. he was also very active in his church... 1matt "he was willing to do anything, you know. he was just always helpful. single guy so he had a lot of friends at the

definately miss him." 5teri "i just know that he liked to collect things." 2chief "i don't like to use the term 'hoarder.' but, lets just say there were a lot of contents in the house." the chief says that only added fuel to the fire and may have obstructed oldham's escape route. 3chief "we see this a lot edit but in an emergency when police and fire personell have to get into your house it can obstruct access to you in the event of an emergency." 4teri "its sad, you know, to lose your life. and knowing him he was probably trying to get his dog out of the house and himself, you know. he loved that dog. but, its just sad to think that a friend passed away in that house from a fire." schell remote conditions were very icy this morning and authorities say one firefighter slipped and sprained his ankle while fighting the fire. the chief says he is going to be okay. crews also had to bring in water from an adjacent street because the fire hydrants around this home were frozen solid. reporting live from springfield townshhip... mike schell.. fox19 now. there are only a few businesses in rabbit hash kentucky... and after this weekeend.. the

fire destroyed that store has been there since 18-31. tonight fox19 now's shawn lanier has the story of the woman on a crusade to rebuild it. terrie markesbery: "it has to be rebuilt, it has to be rebuilt." looking toward to future, but the current sight of the general store is still unreal for most in this town. snow now covers what this fire took away saturday night. terrie markesbery: "when i saw the fire truck i knew, i just knew." terrie markesbery says as she watched the building she managed burn, it was like watching a part of her life go up in flames. the personal stories remain. reporter: i don't know who it was, but he said 'i could have sworn i walked in there and she was breast feeding one day." terrie markesbery: "i did, i did that. i did that here." she's able to smile now because she says this is not over. terrie markesbery: "it's not the end it's a different path now." rodney nunn: "the store will never be the same not the same in look, but residents still want it back. rodney nunn: "i'd love to

information. a man accused of shooting and killing his own cousin, is in jail on 250-thousand dollars bond. in court today... 23-year-old donta williams says he accidently shot 23-year old derrick johnson in his car on saturday. williams, who turned himself into police, is being held on a murder charge. hamilton police are investigating a self-mutilation case involving a 69- year-old man. according to police, on valentine's day..... the man cut off his penis and cut his scissors during a when police arrived they were hamilton fire treated him on scene before taking him to an area hospital. in custody after a stolen car crashed in green township. according to police, the car was taken from the walt sweeney dealership around 3 a-m. the driver then crashed the car into a pole on sidney road... into custody.
