because the home was packed full of stuff. the chief calling it "hoarding". and as fox19 now's megan o'rourke found out...it's not unusual. i talked with the assistant fire chief here in springfield township tonight. he tells me this was a losing fight from the time crews first arrived...because not only was the home on fire, but everything inside...and it was packed. there's not much left of the home court... through early this morning, consuming inside...and claiming the life of the homeowner, david oldham....who initially couldn't find. there's a lot of contents inside the house which makes it complicated for the search and so on springfield township fire crews called it a case of hoarding. tonight, i talked with heidi lamkin, clean ohio...a cleaning out homes...just like 3:43-3:54

developing now... a fox19 investigation is prompting a local school board to make a major change tonight. in january, four members of the switzerland county school board voted themselves full health insurance coverage--for one dollar a year. meanwhile--teache rs in that county pay full price--up to 13-thousand dollars in some cases. investigative reporter jody barr broke this investigation--and joins us tonight with this new development. since our investigation aired a few weeks ago--the tax payers in this county banded together and sent this board a clear message--undo this health insurance benefit--or leave office. tonight--this school board got the message--voting to end this benefit at the end of the year. "i would like to make a motion that we move forward by not offering medical, visual

hill tonight. the university picked a group called "exiger" for the review. u-c president santa ono ordrered the review after the shooting involving ex-officer ray tensing... and sam dubose after a traffic stop. the 12-member team will look at all policies, procedures and training. "this isn't an investigation of what took place. that matter's before the courts now. but, it is a review of everything they do in the department and try to work toward helping them make improvements." a full report is expected in june. last month... u-c settled with the dubose family for more than 5 million dollars. tensing goes to trial in october. the zika virus... sparking new action ... ahead of the olympics.. what brazil's president is doing now.. fox 19's michael baldwin is live at children's hosptial michael is she ok? she is the teen had surgery here at chidren's hospital this morning and tonight shes on that long road to covery. her mom tells us her daughter will be in a back brace for 3 to 6 months. and she says after this scare her sled riding days are over. this 14-year-old's name is chloe. she's lying on a hospital bed while her mom snapped this picture. just over 24 hours ago. sledding she was like these afternoon. ready to enjoy the excitment of things got dark. around 8 last night over on riverwatch drive near ft. wright---the joy of sledding landed her here at children's.. went down a steep hill was a ditch at the full speed and thats really all she remembered. chole would join the national statistic of over 52,000 people who were injuried in a

call it a sign of the times. an aging population along with full court press marketing and....adult diaper sales are on the rise. a recent report predicts that in the next 4 years, adult underwear sales will increase by nearly 50 percent. fox19 now's frankie jupiter has the details, frankie. stores will be selling more products like these if forecasted numbers are right. longer life expectancies and baby boomers are playing a big role. numbers released by a marketing research company show big growth from now to 2020 when it comes to the sales of adult underwear in the u.s. a much faster growth rate than diapers for babies. baby diapers sales across the board last year brought in more than 6 point 1 billion dollars and by 2020 it's forecasted to be a little over 6 point 3 billion. it's a 2 point 6 percent increase in sales. but when it comes to adult underwear next to baby diapers, sales are lower but the percentage increase is expected to rise by
