investigation. police wlil release more information today at 11am at a press conference here... and a autopsy on the suspect will also happen today. police say the suspect pulled a handgun from his waistband as police questioned him. vo this happened at about 4pm on wednesday and police shot and killed the suspect.... who's name has not been released. officers had initally responded to reports of a man waving a gun... and shortly afterwards, a pickup hit a utility pole on harrison avenue. police have not released that suspects name. polcie say the man did comply with officers at first... but then pulled that gun from his waistband. "we have to do something about this in this community and the police are doing their absolute best to keep us all safe and we need to help them. everybody needs to jump in. make a stance against violence. and try and decrease the number of times our office gets called out

cincinnati pope francis will be arriving back in rome later today... following a five- day trip to mexico. a massive crowd gathered for a mass last night in juarez, just across the border from el paso, texas. the holy father called on governments worldwide to open their hearts to what he calls, quote, "human tragedy that is forced migration."

says he's never seen anything like it in his 18 year career... a waffle house employee is now behind bars, accused of trying to poison her coworker. investigators say sonserea sun-sare-ee-uh evans spiked a man's drink with a big dose of methamphetamines. they say she was caught on camera taking the victim's cup, walking away and then returning with it. "it's sad to think she did this to somebody she knows and it almost killed them" evans has since been fired... the victim is still in the hospital. police are still working to determine a motive for the attack. caught on camera... a smash-n-grab at a washington e- cigarrette store. you can see the suspects use a cinder block to smash through the front door... they then use more cinder blocks to break into display cases holding the store's most expensive vaping supplies. adding insult to injury, the burglars weren't satisfied with just stealing. the owner says they destoyed a t-v, computer and even a candy machines...

wrong way crash on i-71 is expected in court. police say 22-year- old taryn chin was drunk when she drove the wrong way and hit a car being driven by 47 year old jose arenas near dana avenue. he was killed instantly. there's been two wrong way crashes in our area in the past few weeks, but new technology could make driving safer. the u-s department of transportation is expected to start requiring all have connected vehicle technology...softw vehicles to communicate with one another. the atkin's wrong- way application, can identify when a car is going the wrong way, and alert both drivers. "tuckers" is now planning to reopen on july 25th... almost one year after flames caused heavy damage on the inside of their vine street location. since then, a go- fund-me campaign has raised more than 17-thousand dollars for renovations.
