steve weather cloud cover will be increasing this afternoon and rain will move into the southern counties of the fox19 now viewing area by midnight. occasionally very heavy rain overnight could cause ponding on roadways and flash flooding could become a problem. in addition areas that have had recent mud slides may see more late tonight and tomorrow. both the morning and evening commutes look rainy day slow. rainfall totals will exceed 2 inches in many areas by midday thursday. as the cold air arrives after midnight wed/thu the rain will change to wet, light snow. with the ground warm and the air at or warmer than 32 it will be a mostly wet to slushy situation. thursday morning could become a problem in isolated areas with a slick spot or two. so we could be dealing with school delays thursday morning. snow showers will be scattered on thursday with 1 inch or so possible and a cold high of 35 degrees. developing now animation developing now... three local cancer centers are under

from batavia... and still there? as far as we can tell tricia... there's been little movement in and out of this building o'clock this afternoon.. that we've confirmed that the f-b-i is investigating medicaid fraud. let's show you some video we shot earlier. this particular cancer center has only been open for about a year.. and two doctors work out of this facility. dr. ralph roach and dr. prakash patel. according to its website.. this location utilizes one of only two rare radiation machines in the state. now the ohio attorney general's office has sealed the investigation.. but medicaid fraud can consist of several things like billing the government for services not provided, double billing, or even

those that were performed on patients. fradulent claims can bring penalties ranging from simply paying the money back to the loss of licenses.. and in more serious cases... prison time. again - nobody really knows the scope of the f-b-i's investigation here in clermont county. we will stay on this story until we find out. mike schell.. fox19 now. now animation right now an infant and woman are still in the hospital following yesterday afternoon's horrific crash on 2-75 in fort thomas. this accident also left one man dead. fox19 now's shawn lanier spoke with the brother of the victim who was killed in that crash earlier today. steve giliam: "mike was a good man. the addict as anyone knows is a different person. it's not the person that you know or you grew up and loved." steve gilliam, who does not want to be shown on camera, is dealing with the loss of his only brother. mike gilliam was thrown from this car monday during rush-hour and died. steve says he has one question about that accident. steve giliam: "who was actually driving." mike was a father of 2 and according to his brother had fallen on hard times. drugs created a divide between the two.

trustees meeting... where right now... officials are debating a controversial plan to bring a kroger to the intersection of tylersville road and 7-47. you may remember that when the plan was first brought up back in 2014... many residents were against it, on the grounds that it would bring traffic problems. the issue died then, but now it's being reconsidered. we'll be sure to let you know if a decision is made... tonight at 10. say goodbye to the horseshoe casino... the company formerly known as rock gaming is re- branding the downtown location. in june it will be called "jack casino cincinnati". take a look at these renderings sent out earlier today. the company is also rebranding its locations in cleveland, detroit and thistletown all with the same name. the change follows a shakeup in ownership last year. now animation tonight miami university is dealing with a norovirus outbreak on the oxford campus.

told fox19 now that about 200 students are dealing with the sickness. to put that in perspective... there are 17-thousand students on campus. while the number isn't that big... the university has ordered some residence halls to be cleaned in hopes of stopping the outbreak. norovirus usually appears during the wintertime... causing frequent vomiting. a w-l-w radio personality.. and defense attorney.. arrested.. and all of it.. on dash camera video. ohio state highway patrol showing the january 25th traffic stop and arrest of lisa wells. she's known for her work on 700 w- l-w and as a criminal defense attorney. it started when officers spotted her driving erratically on 75 in miami county. when they pulled her over, officers say they spotted various pills on her seat... sparking a search that later found prescription pills in the car... that didn't belong to her. here is some of that exchange. trooper: i'm sorry? wells: i'm a criminal defense attorney. trooper: okay ma'am, these are the pills i'm talking about. that pill right there on top, i can identify ma'am as adderall, okay? wells: adderall? trooper: yes ma'am. trooper: ma'am, i will ask you though, do you have a prescription for this? wells: i do not wish to make any more statements. trooper: okay. wells was later released and is now charged with o-v-i and drug possession. we are still going through this video.. and will bring you

you decide animation we're just a few weeks away from the ohio primary... and today we got a glimpse at who republican voters are backing right here in the buckeye state.... and the results might surprise you. take a look! a new quinnipiac poll shows that donald trump is leading at 31- percent... five points ahead of governor john kasich! in third is texas senator ted cruz, followed by florida senator marco rubio. ben carson is at the bottom... with only 5 percent. even though the results don't look good... kasich says, he's not worried about his home state. governor john kasich "listen, everybody is getting slaughtered in their state but we are within the margin or error and we will ohio and there is no question about it, which is very very close. we have put a little effort in and the last thing that i'm worried about is how we're doing in ohio. we will win ohio." in the same quinnipiac poll.... 5 percent of republican voters say they're still undecided. so how do local republicans feel about the poll? today we caught up with the head of the hamilton county g-o-p who agrees with kasich... saying he's

"i'm not surprised... he's momentum right now carolina, but there's two weeks to go in this race for ohio so i think already organizing in this state, something i'm not seeing from the trump campaign. i suspect the governors gonna do very well in ohio.
