a local library shuts down after a serious threat appears on social media! good evening, i'm tricia macke. we broke this story on the fox19 now mobile app. who posted comments on facebook... threatening to shoot people at the kenton county public library? if you think the answer is as simple as finding a profile... think again. fox19 now's mike schell joins us live with more... and mike police aren't quite sure who's behind this right? you are absolutely right tricia,, anytime these threats come over social media authorites have to do some special detective work to find out who posted it. the one

here at the kenton county libarary in erlanger. 1nat "ok, they're closed." one by one people were turned away today at the kenton county library in erlanger... a swat team and detectives searched the library inside and out looking for someone suspicious.. 1sgt. "initially it was a threat of force against a potential person who worked here. the profanity laced threat came on facebook by someone named daniel...who said he just got out of the campbell county jail..that he had a gun...and that he was going to shoot someone at the desk, near the computers, at the kenton county library. 1tajana "i come up here often. at least once a week. for the library to be closed, i'm shocked. oh wow. its too much. you said, what kind of threat was it? a shooting threat. a shooting threat, that's ridiculous." in his postings...the suspect went on to say he lost his kids when he went to the penetentary. he eluded to the fact that he couldn't sleep or eat and said quote...might as well shoot up a library, huh? 2tajana "i bring my grandbabies up here. its ridiculous for people to do that? its ridiculous. i don't understand it." police will admit,

might be, they must take it seriously and respond.. 2sgt. "its, you know. its just the times that we live in." 1carol "i think its horrible that you can't anywhere nowadays with things happening. edit it was never like that when i was growing up. its a shame. its a shame we can't get back to way we used to be." 3sgt. page earlier today... saying the man stole memory supplements and rogaine from three different stores. yesterday mount healthy police posted this picture of a similar suspect... claiming that they were also hit... along with north college hill and west chester in the last week! investigators say the man stole more than $8-hundred dollars worth of product. if you think you know who this guy might be... call police. today the ohio department of education released its 2015 report card for schools in the buckeye state... and the results weren't good for c-p-s. overall... cincinnati public schools were given an "f" in terms of how many students passed state tests. c-p-s also got an "f" for the four year graduation rate in high schools. however... the district got an "a" for progress! c-p-s has responded to the report with a press release... saying that their graduation rates have gone up 11 percent in the last 4 years. the statement also

hard by severe weather on wednesday. officials are now saying that at least 16 tornadoes touched down yesterday from florida all the way up to pennsylvania... leaving damage like this. virginia may have gotten the most damage.... with four people dead... and 100-thousand homes still without power. today the governor of virginia toured the damage after calling a state of emergency. the national guard will now bring in resources to help with recovery efforts. closer to home.... senator bernie sanders made a trip

some alarming news out of butler county tonight... for the second year in a row... drug overdoses were the leading cause of death in coroner cases last year. take a look at the numbers. a new report released today shows that out of 420 cases investigated... 189 of them were overdoses! that's a 38 percent jump from the year before! of those drug overdoses, 79- percent of them were from heroin.
