dozens of protesters gathered across the street from western hills high school demanding justice for those they say were harassed and or killed at the hands of police. they let their voices be heard as they made their way to district 3. district 3 headquarters....mik e schell fox19 now.. a dayton ohio pastor is dead... after he was shot during morning services... allegedly by his brother.. this was the scene outside of st. peter's missionary baptist church this afternoon... witnesses say the pastor's brother went into the pastor's office... shooting him - while the choir was singing in the sanctuary.. the suspect was taken into police custody... "we had a gentleman come inand he went to sit down during prayer, and he sat there for a few minutes and then after prayer, he got up and went back in our pastor's office and then i heard two shots. wasn't a minute and i heard two shots. and so i just got everybody out of the church. and we just kept hearing shooting and shooting. bang bang bang." 68-year-old daniel schooler - the brother of pastor

an early morning fire .... took the life.. of two people... this morning in adams county. this is video near the gate... of the mobile home park on ohio 125 near blue creek road... our cameras were not allowed any closer.. officials identified the victims as 66- year-old carol hochchild junior and 61-year-old cynthia hochchild. the cause of the fire is still under investigation... firefighters made quick work of a fire this afternoon in erlanger.. it happened on fir tree lane... this afternoon... no one was injured .. so far no word on a cause... or the total cost of the damage. also new tonight... a shooting... in avondale.. one person... was shot this afternoon.. it happened on hale avenue... near harvey avenue.. the victim was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries... still no word on a suspect in the shooting.. we'll continue to update this story as we learn more information. werner

new information on the body found near the ohio river in bracken county. sources tell fox19 now, the body is believed to be that of a missing falmouth mother of three. tara turner hasn't been seen since january 31st. we just spoke with pendleton county sheriff. he tells us there are persons of interest in the tara turner case, but they're remaining tight- lipped on the investigation. an active duty army staff sergeant.... assigned to the joint staff support center at the pentagon... will be in court tomorrow morning... charged with murder.. one officer was killed and two other officers were injured in prince william county, virginia shooting... it happened last night.. officer ashley guindon's gwen-den first day on the job... turned out to be her last... she was shot and killed answering a domestic violence call at a home.

believe the body is that of missing mother of three tara turner. she hasn't been heard from since january 31st. police have not confirmed the body found is that of turner, but sources tell us they believe it is her. the pendleton county sheriff tells us they have persons of interest in the turner investigation but would not elaborate. we'll bring you the latest on air and on fox19now.com. the heroin epidemic is gripping northern kentucky. and with it, comes a rise in blood borne illnesses. hepatitis c rates are off the charts. now health officials are bracing for what could be next -- an hiv outbreak. fox19 now's dan wells has more on how this crisis could cost billions. by now -- the heroin crisis in northern kentucky is old news....addicts using, discarding needles around the community. but those needles aren't just a danger to someone who may find them in a playground or a parking lot. health offiicials say ddicts sharing

could lead to an epic health crisis. "it is very serious." what's serious is the threat of hiv. dr. lynne saddler, the district director for the northern kentucky health department says a "syringe access exchange program" is uurgently needed. she says it could also help stop the spread of another blood borne illness --hepatitis c. cases of hep c have spiked over the last year. users can be infected with both hep c and hiv when they share contaminated needles. "but we know from other communities, the lesson to be learned from scott county that the hiv rates are going to go up." dr. saddler is referring to scott county, indiana. last year -- an hiv outbreak there drew national attention. indiana's governor declared a public health care emergency and authorized a short-term needle exchange program to contain the outbreak. but some critics

needles encourages drug use. our sister station in louisville recently went undercover for five weeks, watching needle exchanges in scott county. they watched people taking free ones in. they also observed addicts shoot up right after receiving their clean syringes. straight to a nearby business and left her used drug paraphernalia on the floor. but health officials still insisted the

thousand. the lifetime care of those infected would cost 2 billion dollars. so far, getting the needle exchange program going has been an uphill battle, but she says that's slowly changing. "if they're not sharing, they're not spreading hep c it hiv." earlier this month grant county agreed to have a needle exchange program at its health center. it will be the first such program in northern kentucky. dan wells, fox 19 now." drugs are in every corner of the tri- state.. and indiana and ohio are toward the top of the nation's list for seized meth labs, chemicals and dump sites, according to a new report.. ohio ranked fourth last year, as authorities uncovered just over one-thousand labs, including chemicals and glassware used in the drug's cooking process... the u.s. department of justice... says indiana topped the nation with close to 18-hundred reports, followed by tennessee and missouri.
