resource officer kent hall ran into the cafeteria with no idea of what he was getting into. moments later... he had the suspect in custody. now he's telling his side of the story. fox19 now's mike schell is live at the school.. where dialogue is happening right now... the madison local school district is putting together a series of fourms to focus on how to move forward and to discuss school safety, security and support. the man who will play a big role in that is the sheriff's deputy who went after the 14-year old who opened fire in his school's cafeteria last week... 1nat "shots fired madison school. shots fired suject down." the man behind radio call is school and retired butler county sheriff deputy...kent hall.. 1kent knew that wasn't right was hearing pop, pop, pop. it was very distinct

driving crash that killed his friend. this was the scene at the butler county courthouse today... as 18-year old tristan lacey was sentenced to six years in prison. lacey was convicted of driving drunk and crashing near the beckett ridge golf club last year, killing his passenger... mark valentine. today the victims parents had a clear message for other families. "i just want people to learn from this, i don't want this to happen to any other child or family." butted to "there's a difference between justice and forgiveness, and we believe justice has been served, and forgiveness will come in time." in addition to his sentence, lacey will have to pay 14- thousand dollars in restitution and funeral expenses. right now animation right now cincinnati police are searching for a suspect... after a man was found shot to death early this morning. officers were called to a home on elberon avenue in east price hill just before 7... finding 23-year old jamar givens suffering gunshot wounds in the back yard.

central parkway in o-t-r. but you might not know that the city is now investigating because of an increase in car wrecks! fox19 now's robert guaderrama has more. intro: yeah, believe it or not police say there were 62 car wrecks in 2015 on this stretch of central parkway and a city council member says enough is enough. christopher smitherman city councilmember "it's just a matter of time before we have a real tragedy there." councilman christohper smitherman says safety complaints are pouring into his office. business owners, drivers and cyclists concerned about the bike lanes on this busy street. bill johnson owner, robin imaging "my wife's car was totalled right out there, i was sitting in my office and heard this loud crash and her car is bumped." one of those complaints came from bill johnson a business owner along central parkway and an avid cyclist himself. he's worried about the voluntary parking lane along the bike route where his wife's
