imagine, it is quite an undertaking for officials here at the hamilton county board of elections as they prepare for such a large voter turnout. all hands will be on deck when the polls open here at 6:30 this morning, sherry poland with the board of elections tells us there will be 50 people manning help center phones. add to that...116 troubleshooters in the field visiting pulling locations, working hands on they're working to ensure that no issues arise this time as they did with e-poll books during last november's election. officials also say they have 2300 precinct officials trained as well as about 27,000 poll workers...which is more than enough workers to cover all of the counties busiest precincts. live again, officials hope the technical issues they faced with the e pole books in november won't occur this time around because they haven't replaced the faulty glitch that they say cause most of those problems. reporting live jordan vilines fox 19 now

homeland security is urging residents to prepare for spring flooding. officials say folks should develop a family emergency communications plan, making sure to include an out- of-state contact and meeting places in case family members become separated. the agency also urges people to put together a disaster preparedness kit that contains essential items a family needs to sustain itself for at least three days. when it comes to chickenpox, apparently a two- dose vaccine is better than one. researchers found giving the first dose at age one and the second between the ages of four and six... is nearly one hundred percent effective in preventing the viral infection. experts say a single shot did protect children from severe disease-- but some children still came down with the virus. if you haven't filled out your march madness bracket yet, time is running
