school grad otto warmbier has been sentenced to serve 15 years of hard labor in prison in north korea. warmbier was detained by officals back in january for allegedly trying to steal an item bearing a propaganda slogan from his hotel in pyongyang. he was at the end of a five-day group tour of north korea when he was taken into custody. the 21-year-old was convicted of subversion and sentenced following a trial last month. we will continue to follow this breaking news and bring you any updates. also breaking this morning... sources close to president obama report that an announcement for the newest supreme court justice, will come today, at 11 a.m. reuters news agency reports that the president is likely to nominate either judge sri srinivasan or judge merrick garland... seen there on your screen. following justice

court is currently divided 4 to 4 between conservatives or liberals. president obama's decision could move the court either left or right for the first time in decades. the city council of ferguson, missouri has now voted unanimously to accept an overhaul of its troubled police force and municipal court system by the u-s justice department. last year, the d-o-j said an investigation found a pattern of discrimination against african americans in ferguson. the department then sued the city last month after the council voted to change the terms of a deal negotiators had been hashing out for months. this morning flint, michigan isn't the only city dealing with a toxic water crisis. in newark, new jersey, dozens of schools have elevated lead levels thanks to aging pipes. and that now has health officials taking actions to make sure students are safe... 17 thousand students will be tested for lead.

is live near the bridge with the very latest. live at this time, authorities have yet to confirm if anything or anyone has been found in the vehicle. that vehicle was found about 4 hours after the crash occurred and water rescue teams were working overnight, trying to determine whether any bodies were inside of the car vo officials say the car fell from the combs-hehl bridge around 4:45 p.m. following a 12- vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes. sonar imaging located the car at the bottom of the river about four hours after the pileup. crews will attempt to identify whether victims are inside the vehicle before removing it from the water, according to campbell county police chief craig sorrell. sorrell said four separate accidents happened on the bridge, starting a chain reaction as other cars tried to slow down and navigate through. the vehicle was about halfway across the bridge when it was involved in another crash, fell over the side and plunged into the river below. live
