about a red flag alert.... chief meteorologist steve horstmeyer joins us now... steve what are we talking about? a red flag warning is in effect for the tri-state north of the ohio river until 8pm. a red flag warning means because of low humidity and gusty winds there is an elevated risk of brush fires. nws wilmington issues one about once a year despite the fact that ground litter and soils are very wet and the risk of a quickly spreading fire is absolutely not like the western states where wildfires are a real threat. much colder air will return to the region over the weekend. on saturday and sunday, daytime highs will struggle to climb out of the 40s and both madness and saint patrick's day... right now local bar owners are gearing up for one of the busiest
