shortly after her daughter recovered from lymphoma and while working full-time. this morning she shares her story on how her family emerged strong and healthy and what she wants for her family's future. i don't have too many bald during treatment. i had a wig that i loved so most pictures are me in the wig. i never wanted to appear sick. my youngest daughter was graduating from high school when i was doing chemo and we had that whirlwind at the end of the school year. my daughter rachel had gone through a lot during high school - father leaving the family and then her sister my oldest daughter

almost died from a very aggressive form of lymphoma and we were living at childrens hospital for many months. somehow we all emerged strong and happy and i wanted that time of life to be her time. in retrospect, i think it helped me too. when you don't have time to be sick, you don't let it stop you. i was also working full time during chemo treatments. i had spent so much time away with my daughter's illness, i didn't feel like i could take any more time off than necessary. plus i have an amazing supportive workplace who i were amazing to me during this time. an explanation of pics - so i have a picture of us right before i was diagnosed one with heather's super short hair due to her chemo , one with rachel right after the mastectomy the bald me , then my surprise celebration on my last day of chemo. there is one at the ride cincinnati

did it with the macy's team while i was on chemo. we did a short ride, only 8 miles but it was my victory over cancer even so. then a year after treatment, rachel and i went to boston and participated in the komen 3 day. walking is the way i healed my body and soul. the picture with the daughter flag was at the end of the walk and you could carry a banner that said who you were walking for. i am definitely in this for the next generation, so it is better for my kids. there are some pictures of the 3 of us the couple years after. then this past september -5 years after i finished all treatments and was cancer free, i got remarried and now have this wonderful huge family with 5 daughters, 2 son in laws and a granddaughter between us. the little granddaughter belongs to heather, the one who fought off lymphoma during college. this is life, wonderful,
