facilities across indiana, in honor of a sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty. howard county deputy carl koontz was shot at a mobile home in russiaville roo'-shuh-vil , about 60 miles north of indianapolis. state police say koontz and another deputy were trying to serve a warrant at the time. a swat team tried for two hours to communicate with the person inside the mobile home. that person was later found dead. "we have a pretty good idea that this shooter was still inside that residence because there were several officers there initially when we made the approach to the residence. so our first concern at that moment in time was the residents that were around where this the wounded jordan buckley -- is condition. arrangements have been made for a 4- year-old who died after being put in the child's 25- year-old stepmother anna dipping austin

hehl bridge overnight. investigators say a driver rear-ended a pontiac grand am shortly after going over the bridge. we're told the person in that pontaic died from his injuries. his name is not being released at this time. the other driver was taken to u-c medical center with serious injuries. police say excessive speed and impairment are believed to be factors. this is the second major crash in less than a week on the combs-hehl bridge. last wednesday... a 12-car pileup.. sent a car plunging into the ohio river. officials now believe they know who was inside the vehicle.. but have not been able to remove the car or the body from the water... kara dblbx our sara celi is live in campbell county with more. live police hope today they can continue recovery efforts... they have located a car underneath the bridge that they believe is the car involved in this accident. high water forced police to suspend the search last week... vo the accident happened last
