we had a very wet december and we are under a flood watch because of the potential of heavy rain tonight through wednesday. we should get a chance to dry out by thursday. green are under a flood watch. here is why. we expand our view a little bit. you can see the storm front kicking up some thunderstorms in alabama pushing to georgia and eastern tennessee and the carolinas by tonight. heavier downpours of rain and a few thunderstorms through this evening. a pretty good rain overnight days. relief comes in cooler temperatures for this weekend in a few minutes. patrick: a massive storm system stretching from new mexico to illinois killed two dozen people over the weekend. in the aftermath, sonia moghe

holding together. when the lightning flashed could people see the tornado in the distance. you can see the damage easily now after one of the tornadoes hit copeville, texas, ripping >> it was pretty traumatic. we just came out to assess our own damages, and he's over there yelling for help. >> we realized that he was running across the road with his baby. sonia: debralee king's neighbor begged her to take his newborn two-day-iold child to the hospital. she did while her husband glenn helped try to get the man's wife out of what was left of their home. >> she was pinned in there between a wall and the door. sonia: she survived. her baby did not. a tornado destroyed an elementary school in red oak while, just a few blocks away, willard jordan and his family cowered inside a closet. >> that sound. i just can't get that sound out of my head. sonia: around the dallas area, the damage ranges from light to devastating. eight of the reported deaths

national weather service now says was hit by an ef-4 tornado. patrick: in anderson county back in the upstate, there are more issues for a road. the completely collapsed on christmas morning. look at that. this is the third issue for the road in three months. the first time was a sinkhole in late october. last week, the water main break, and now this. anderson county roads and bridges manager tony owens says the issues have stemmed from excessive rain. it is expected to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix. if fema approves, the project will need to be concluded within 18 months. the spartanburg county coroner and cowpens police are investigating the death of a man found in a road behind a restaurant on sunday. the coroner says 36-year-old brent lee tesneer was found unresponsive behind the hardee's

tesneer was from cowpens. he was 36 years old. the coroner calls his death suspicious. greenville county deputies are investigating a man's death in the sans souci area. they tell us the man's body was found sunday night in a home on perry road. deputies are not releasing any more information at this point. the greenville county coroner's office plans to release the name of the person who died after notifying family members. anyone with more information should call crime stoppers at 23-crime. the search continues for a hit and run driver who seriously injured a woman riding a moped. the accident happened saturday december 19 near the intersection of whitehorse and anderson roads. troopers believe the car is a newer model ford focus or fusion, possibly silver or grey. the woman had a bad head injury. investigators have not released an update on she's doing. call crime stoppers if you can help with this case. four people face charges

following an amber alert in asheville this weekend. authorities issued the alert for elijah joyner and harlee joyner yesterday around noon. police say the boys were found safe about an hour later. natasha cantrell and christopher carter of georgia are both charged with abduction of children and kidnapping. chadwick agan, also of georgia, is charged with abduction, and trena weaver is charged with child abuse. investigators have not released any more information about the case. greenville county deputies say they found a man who was reported missing over the weekend. they say 78-year-old doyle chism left his home sunday afternoon. he was found in good condition this morning. authorities were concerned for chism's safety because he suffers from alzheimer's disease and diabetes. dive crews say they found a car in the saluda river over the weekend. dispatchers say it was along holcombe drive near highway 8. a witness reported a car rolling into the river in greenville county. by the time dive teams were able

to locate the car, it had drifted into the west pelzer area. crews say the car was empty when they got to it. a new poll released says that more americans than ever before feel that terrorists are winning the war. the cnn-orc poll says nearly 75% of americans are not satisfied with how the war on terrorism is progressing. following the terror attacks in paris and san bernardino, this number is much higher than the previous high of 61% who said they were dissatisfied. over 1,000 adults were surveyed. the iraqi city of ramadi has been fully liberated from isis. this is as militant leaders released a new message. >> it is a blow to isis. its fighters defeated in the key city of raamadi.

buildings, humbling the remaining isis jihadists before this message. just days ago, the elusive leader of isis, his last video released in 2014, was rallying his fighters in a 24 minute audio recording. mocking the us-led coalition against isis, taunting saudi arabia, and threatening israel. unverified, his statements say isis will defeat the entire world, a war crime and perhaps a cry for help. isis needs more recruits. his statement apparently admits. while a string on the isis attacks on the west are not mentioned, raising questions about when it was recorded. this past weekend, armed police were on the streets as austrian authorities warn of another plot.

this experience been like for you so far? >> it has definitely been fun in the orange bowl. we get to play in this environment, but has been a business trip. we note the business at hand and the opportunity of us. all the guys are focused. there have been no shenanigans. it has been a business attitude. we are focused on oklahoma, focused on the game. we are definitely having fun while doing it, but we have a business attitude going about it. brad: what is the biggest difference you have seen on film? >> probably the biggest is a think mayfield brings a lot more to the table with his legs. he is a leader on and off the field. you can tell the way he plays he has a desire to win. he is a competitor. is him. contender. he is definitely going to bring a lot more things than the guys they had last year.

trail. aixa: candidates are campaigning in new hampshire, nevada, florida, and iowa, where the caucuses are just five weeks away. polls show donald trump and hillary clinton remain the front-runners in their respective parties. the two candidates have been trading barbs in recent days. after clinton said last week her trump tweeted former president clinton has a penchant for sexism and called it so inappropriate. some of his republican opponents have criticized trump's style, while others say they will support him if he wins the nomination. the next round of debates for both sides is scheduled for mid-january. in washington, i'm aixa diaz. patrick: thank you. for the u.s. countries from all over the world experienced flooding this weekend. leeds, and manchester were hit by severe flooding. the floods are a result of heavy rains and swollen rivers.

even more rain later this week. authorities are warning of crocodile threats after flooding in australia. 186 miles of stuart highway is cut off until tomorrow morning. so far, one woman has been killed. the flooding is devastating. floodwaters on christmas day. argentina's president canceled his christmas vacation after some of the worst flooding in several decades. people used boats and canoes to get around in concordia in the northern part of the country. the president promised to assist residents in rebuilding their homes. announcer: now, your live super doppler 4 hd weather forecast. dale: good afternoon. it has been a foggy light rain region. we are still seeing patches of rain in the mountains of north carolina. a good bit of upstate seeing some rain. heavier rain will come this afternoon in this evening.

we will run the future plus chance to see that. the national weather service has issued a flood watch for most of northeastern georgia, upstate south carolina, almost all of morning. heavy rain tonight, overnight, tomorrow, and into wednesday, these thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours of rain. we are already saturated. we have had 6.5 inches of rain for the mountains in the upstate already for the month of december. we are about two months ahead as far as our annual precipitation is concerned. already saturated ground will run off quickly with heavy downpours. that is why the watches have already been put into play. here is a quick look at what is coming. the storm system that did damage in the west and now in the mississippi valley area has a tornado watch including parts of alabama and the florida panhandle. we are not under that watch at this particular point, but it just goes to show you there is a lot of energy with this front

pushing across the south. they narrowed it down now to just the florida panhandle area. it has the potential for international. we will get showers and thunderstorms later this afternoon and this evening and again tomorrow and wednesday. temperatures very mild. already low 70's from anderson to laurens to abbeville. we are looking for an afternoon for a high. reached the expected high of 64. winds have picked up a little bit. nine to 14 of the southeast in the mountains and seven at 10 in the upstate. average is 52 for a high. the record is 75. we are expecting 69 for greenville, spartanburg, and we have already seen low 70's in the piedmont. average in the mountains is 47 for a high.

patrick: a group of cliff photos spreading on social media have made this little-known place in the suburbs of rio de janeiro a hot tourism attraction. it is known as pedra do telegrafo. the site is now receiving curious hikers who want to pose for photos on its cliff. tourists first have to climb the hill for over an hour and then wait in line for another to get hour a chance to stand on a stone which is right on the edge of the cliff. some tourists even hang from the stone as you see there. that, i would not recommend. dale: i don't get it. i don't get it.
