apartments near weaverville. tonight, the buncombe county fire marshal says some items from the scene are undergoing specialized testing. three people were taken to the hospital, to be treated for burns. four apartments were damaged. one was destroyed. north carolina rescue crews say a 45-year-old man died in a fall near a waterfall. crews say sean kasey of georgia fell from a walkway near dry falls in macon county. officials said kasey fell on saturday, but the search had to be suspended until today because of the cold weather. funeral services will be held tomorrow for a longtime state senator. william "billy" o'dell died thursday morning. he became a state senator in 1989, serving district four. that's abbeville, anderson, and greenwood counties. his funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, at the first presbyterian chruch in greenwood. the service is scheduled for 2:30, and will be followed by a private burial. o'dell was 77 years old. in greenville county, an

dangerous wind chills overnight into tomorrow morning. at the kids have to go to the bus stop, make sure they are wearing thick coats and layers. it will be cold in the mountains. not as bad in the upstate, but very chilly. it will warm up tomorrow, but the windchill stays in the teens and 20's across the mountains. low temperatures tonight will be cold. the latest models showing 29, i am going 25. the models picked a few clouds across the area. i think they will move out. 19 a low in asheville. greenville tomorrow, sunshine and lots of it. we will top out in the middle 40's across the day. that is the start of a cold week. lower 40's across the entire upstate. for the mountains, we struggle to get out of the freezing mark. the models are showing the cold air will come in waves this week. the first one arriving now. it will be cold or the day on monday and tuesday.

information. ocean. united states, we will have more accurate models. it is important to stay tuned to the forecast this week. the models show the first impact system will move across the united states wednesday into thursday and impact our area friday. it is to the west, but it will send moisture our way friday night, which could mix with ice in the mountains. predominantly, looks like rain across the area. the second one arrives on sunday. this one could have a little more moisture with it. we will watch that one. the timing could be off. the moisture could be off. we will watch it over the next few days. one thing's for sure, the pattern favors these systems moving our way. the first one had been friday night, possibly a wintry mix in the mountains. the second one, third one, fourth one, we don't know. the pattern favors cold air with the moisture. that threat will behind this
