and eventually into clemson, anderson, and greenville, around 6:00, so snow in toccoa and clarksville, and this is our second round coming in, and then we will see the next one, which will be mainly just snow. chris: higher up around 5000 feet, we have that warmer air. is it right at freezing? 34, 35? that could kill be snow and give us more ice and we are watching that very closely. we have had some impressive snow totals, and the total at the highest is 12 inches. john: in the mountains, about 7.5 inches of snow, and brevard, about eight inches of snow. we will talk about these snowfall totals in the area of the next batch of snow moving in.

nigel: taking a look at our asheville sky cam, you can see they have a lot of snow today. gabrielle: we went to take you to where patrick is. -- we want to take you to where patrick is. patrick: i cheated out that it was more like a rainy day down here he sensually. there was a lot of slush, but there were people out for lunch, but now, it is as slick as can be. there are people driving through, unfortunately, a little too fast it we have seen some red light. collision, no injuries. mostly on the interstate.

fortunately, no injuries. we will have more in a little bit, but there were some injuries in east spartanburg from a head-on collision, minor injuries though, so as far as coming up, we do have some power outages to talk about in spartanburg. again, those started early this morning, but duke energy has been out, and we see the line trucks out to would be salt trucks, and they are working hard, and we will have more on the power outages and the conditions of the roads coming up in just a bit. nigel: patrick, thank you very much. we want to keep you in spartanburg county as we continue our coverage. gabrielle: and stephanie has been showing us the roads, and

at this time of evening is usually very busy. stephanie: yes, this is a couple of cars coming by, and normally, this is bumper-to-bumper traffic. we have been here about two hours, and i have only seen one crew truck coming through. at it had its blade out. this is alongside i-85. we sought spreaders, trucks, in and out -- we saw spreaders and trucks in and out. it is about three quarters the size of a football field, filled with mountains of 100% salt. some were coming in to spread their things in beauty, and others were coming in to go

mandy: as you may be able to tell, it is coming down here again in clemson, and i can tell you, it hurts when it hits your face. this is over hartwell lake. moments ago, they were spreading sand across the bridge, so it is looking better. earlier, it was a mess as he crossed over. we saw several cars off the road. rescue crews told us that a car was trying to change lanes and slid on some ice, and then that car along with another car went off the roadway thankfully, no one was hurt, it just up the road from there, firefighters had to up the road because drivers were getting stuck as they tried to go up the hill. amanda was one of them. amanda: we started sliding, and then i was not going to go

traffic appears to be moving slowly all along the interstate. however, things are different story. we saw quite a few rear tires spinning along with some slipping taking place and some sliding along the roadways. quite a few people opted to walk. the wobbler house was the closest place for many to get a meal. we did meet several people were on their way to several ski resorts, but the conditions kept them here in asheville, and the conditions had some wishing for around. chevy cavalier, two wheel drive. i got to the top and 360ed back down. >> if you are not used to it, i do not recommend that you do it. myra: and some people said they just wanted to try to enjoy the
