just after 6:30 last night. at this time, the driver , 19-year-old joseph alam, has not been charged. troopers say the girl was taken greenville memorial. her condition is unknown at this time. in columbia, state lawmakers may change the way law enforcement handles dash cam video. according to the bill, agencies would need a judge's approval to withhold dashcam footage from the public for more than 15 days. the bill's writer, senator larry martin, says the zach hammond case helped inspire this. currently, if a family or news organization asks for the dashcam video and is denied, the only option is to sue. martin says suing is not a realistic option for many people. for now, a judiciary panel has postponed voting on the bill. to anderson county, four people stand accused of a double murder. deputies have arrested wesley malmister, tabitha roberts, brandon davis, and randall simpson. deputies say the four killed two people during an attempted armed robbery.

amy road in iva last month. all four face a slew of charges that include two counts of murder. the ceo of a georgia hospital is one of six people facing charges after a prescription drug sting. federal agents arrested mike gowder, the ceo of union general hospital, in union county gowder is facing multiple prescription drug charges. his arrest comes after a nine-month-long multi-state investigation. five others were also arrested, including two doctors. police say doctor james heaton wrote more than 15,000 fraudulent prescriptions for painkillers for gowder over a three-year period. four of gowder's family members were also among those apprehended. turning to commitment 2016 this afternoon, the democrats are campaigning in new hampshire again today, after a their first one-on-one debate last night. hillary clinton's way behind in the polls, and she came out swinging. tracie potts is in washington

live, local breaking news with geoff hart, and weather with meteorologist dale gilbert. high definition. allyson: two new york city police officers are being treated at the hospital after they were shot and wounded in the bronx. police said the male and female officers were on patrol in a public housing complex last night when they were confronted

one officer was hit in the face, the other in the abdomen, police said. both officers have only been with the nypd for two years. the suspect ran from the scene and later shot and killed himself, according to police. a man is recovering after a dangerous rescue caught on camera. crews hoisted him off the side of a dam after he spent days stuck on a mountain. in the video from the king county sheriff's office, you can see the responders balancing on the side of a helicopter, hovering hundreds of feet above ground. the rescuer is hoisted down the side of the steep dam to the stranded man below. a fire at a landfill in india grew so large it could be seen from outer space. the fire started at the largest landfill in the city of mumbai. it burned for three days. these images from nasa show the smoke sent into the atmosphere from the fire. an investigation is now underway to determine what sparked the fire. bmx rider dave mirra is dead in an apparent suicide.

veteran x-games biker yesterday afternoon inside a truck in north carolina. officials say he had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. mirra was perhaps best-known for competing in the x-games, where he won medals each year from 1995 to 2008, including 14 gold medals. dave mirra was 41. the music world is mourning the loss of maurice white. white is the founder of the band earth, wind and fire, which has sold more than 90 million albums. according to his brother, 74-year-old white died at his los angeles home on wednesday. white suffered from parkinson's disease and kept out of the public eye, even as the band he founded kept performing. earth wind & fire was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2000. construction on the i-85 and 385 gateway project are underway. it kicked off at the groundbreaking ceremony that just wrapped up.

davis with what to expect next. corey: i am over by the regal cinema on i-385. the highness, i just spoke with the brand-new secretary of transportation. she says this is a massive project for the area, the second largest project in the history as early as monday, roper mountain road and chrome drive will be having worked from construction crews. chrome drive is by harley davidson the greenville. crews will be removing trees and they will be work being done during the day. you can expect roper mountain road to have slower traffic during the day as well. they will eventually make their way to areas up woodruff road, garlington road and miller road but that will not before a couple of months. there is a concrete barrier wall

work will be done at nighttime certain days and during the day, he will be off to the side of the interstate. there will be delays on i-85 and night. this project overall will include widening of i-85 in the areas and 11 new bridges, including some stacked bridges and fly over bridges. to the secretary, to make it safer out there for drivers. they want to have wider lanes and additional lanes on i-85 toward spartanburg where they will be adding a fourth plane. this is a massive project and undertaking by the department of transportation. they are very excited about it and they ask that you hang with them and deal with it along the way. it is expected to wrap up in 2019, the next three years, so there will be a lot of

we will have more from local businesses and their reaction to the groundbreaking ceremony today. corey davis wyff news 4 live in greenville. allyson: thank you. turning to money matters to a live look at the stocks. the dow jones, nasdaq and s&p 500 all down. honda is recalling an additional 2.2 million honda and acura vehicles because the driver's air bag inflators made by takata can explode. honda's recall includes older model years dating back to 2005, as well as some newer 2015 and 2016 models. honda says replacement parts will not be available until late summer and honda has told dealers to provide loaner cars for free to any customer who asks for one while waiting for repair. the recall brings the number of vehicles recalled in the u.s. due to takata inflator problems to about 24 million. the problems have caused at least 11 deaths and 139 injuries worldwide. fiat chrysler is recalling more than a half million dodge

these are cooler than normal temperatures. made to feel colder with 18 to 20 plus mile-per-hour winds and still feels like it is in the 20's in the mountains with the wind blowing. normally this time of the year, average for the upstate would be 55. not today. 49 to 50 may be the best we do. the record of 74 was set back in 1899. today, 40 may be the best we see. in back in 2000 may, it got up to 73, so he can have warm days but we will have cold weather over the weekend and gradually getting back to normal by sunday. the next system is going to impact us sunday night into monday. or the upstate, probably just rain and a few snowflakes . the mountains will see a better chance of rain and snow on monday.
