with the numbers. tim? tim: voter turnout on saturday , michael and carol, was impressive to say the least. check this out. 25% of all registered voters in south carolina cast a ballot on saturday for one of six gop contenders. that's a 4%4%igher turnout than what we saw in 2012, when 22% voted. and look at these comparisons of voter turnout on saturday, to the 2012 gop primary in union, cherokee, pickens, laurens, and anderson counties. massive numbers of voters went to the polls this year. the same story in abbeville, spartanburg, greenwood, oconee, and greenville counties. 4 years ago, 8 years ago, these turnout numbers were unheard of. the turnout on saturday was even greater than the record-setting turnout by democrats in 2008, who were eager to see president obama elected. 24% of voters cast ballots in that primary, which is still 1% shy of the gop vote this past

michael? michael: thanks, tim. republican candidates have moved on to campaigning in nevada, and super tuesday states. donald trump won saturday's south carolina gop primary. however, some would say governor nikki haley, won as well. her late endorsement of marco rubio may have been exactly what put the senator ahead to a second place showing. the final numbers show rubio beat senator ted cruz by only 1,091 votes. donald trump carried almost the entire state, except two counties. rubio won charleston and richland counties. >> the governor's endorsement, how big was that? >> i think it was huge. jeb would have performed much better than he did, had governor haley endorsed him rather than rubio. and i certainly think it helped rubio considerably in his fight with cruz for that second place spot. michael: you may recall greenville mayor knox white, , congressman trey gowdy, and senator tim scott all endorsed rubio, as well.
