the only tornado warning we had was for parts of stephens county about 8:00 this morning with that sell that moved through part of oconee county, and it cost a little bit of damage -- it caused a little bit of damage. these intensified as they get closer to interstate 77, and now they are heading into the eastern and central part of north carolina and also into the low country of south carolina. we will talk about that later on. the temperatures are startrtg to cool down, but how about the wind gusts? 46 in anderson, the strongest in asheville, 41 mile-per-hour winds. as expected, very strong winds associate with this system. this is non-thunderstorm wind. the one it will continue for the

upstate area there are over 2800 in anderson county, a little over 8700 in greenville county, greenwood county and pickens county have over 1000 outages, and spartanburg county is seeing over 4800 outages. michael: and in north carolina now, there are over 76,000 without power. 1500 outages in buncombe and henderson county, and over 5000 outages in rutherford county. and there are no candidates here tonight. mrs. clinton: we are going to encourage them to turn out or vote absentee. i am not going to take any voter for granted. i am going to work until the very end. michael: there is the supreme court and the trust issue. you can watch the full interview

5:00 on wyff 4. and patrick hussion is here. we saw a lot of activity before the primary. what about the democrats? patrick: they are not here. basing off on saturday night, but if you are looking to catch a rally or a speech or an appearance, the upstate is not the place to be. in the weeks and months leading up to the gop primary, republican candidates still in the race made over 100 visits to south carolina, according to the website p2016.com, and over half of those visits were here in the upstate. >> i do not know if you have looked around your neighborhood, but there really are not a lot of democrats in the upstate. we have pockets of them, but if you surveyed the elected officials in the upstate, you

michael: and a cross inside a memorial for a man killed during the construction of a city building. gabrielle: mandy has more. mandy: the mayor announced he had no intention of removing the memorial. it is a cross built into the stonework outside the seneca water treatment lance, a small gesture honoring the life of chuck keeler. there was a letter sent, asking for the cross to be removed, saying the memorial needed to be religiously neutral, and seneca mayor dan alexander says the cross is not going anywhere.

a wind warning, gusts 45 to 50 miles per hour, slowly diminishing after sunset after -- outside of the mountains, but the strong wind will continue, especially in the higher elevations, and even after midnight, the wind will gradually diminish. the rain showers will gradually change over to snow showers, and a winter weather advisory, especially for the ones that border along tennessee, and especially from now to early friday morning. we are expecting one to four plus inches of snow. there is this northwesterly flow, and even asheville could see an inch or two over the next 36 hours. even tomorrow, the wind is going to pick back up. rain showers spreading across the area.

this is also in through central part of north carolina down towards florence. and we would even have some tornado warnings. we have even had some supercells. this is very tight and tough for us, and it detected us. you folks in oconee county and stephens county around 8:00 this morning, that probably touched down, and if it did, it probably went back up as a funnel cloud. possibly a thunderstorm. right into fayetteville. a very dangerous situation right there, and then we also have something up in virginia. luckily, we can -- these weaken, and that is good news for us. looking at the rain and snow starting to mix in the southwestern mountains of north carolina.

michael: how about a look from our greenville skycam? we cannot see the wind, but moving. still moving, and our chief urologist john cessarich -- chief meteorologist john cessarich is in. john: it will be a slow process, and the wind will pick up again with some strong, gusty winds. we are very fortunate in that we have the bands of showers move across the area, but we were just stable enough with that wedge overnight last night to keep most of the severe weather to our south and to our east and to our west as we went through. now, rain showers changing over to snow showers in the southwestern mountains.
