tuesday primaries. let's go to chuck todd. what do you make of this? >> let me show you something inside the exit polls that show the dominance of hillary clinton. it's among the breakdown by race. a majority of the electorate, over 60% is african-american. she won 84% of african-americans. despite losing the white vote, as she has been doing to bernie sanders throughout the early states, when you have a lot more african-american vote, it makes a huge difference for her. this could foreshadow a big night for her super tuesday. half the states being contested super tuesday have electorates that are anywhere from 30% to 50% -- over 50% non-white. this could be the beginning of a march to the nomination for hillary clinton if tuesday looks anything like tonight. >> chuck todd, thanks. more on tonight's south carolina results

7:06 pm
danielle: it's going to make her trouble whole lot easier going forward after tonight. she clearly was able to get her supporters to the polls, saw large numbers of african-american voters showing up today. it looks like sanders was not able to get those younger voters out to the polls. that will continue to be an issue for him going forward. michael: how much of a momentum sling does is give her for super tuesday? danielle: it starts to quell that else that came in with new hampshire. -- quell the doubts that came in with new hampshire. it allows her to stay on fixing -- stay on message. carol: one pundit said this begins the march toward the nomination. if that pans out to be true, will bernie sanders need to rethink his campaign? danielle: they have kept it pretty civil. i don't think he is doing her any long-term damage for the general election. staying in the race allows them to continue this conversation and provide a counterbalance to the republican side of. -- the republican side.
7:07 pm
influence over that convention. michael: of the republican side -- speakin gof the republican side, michael: right now they will turn their eye on each other for a bit longer. at some point they will focus on clinton. it looks more and more like she is the general election challenger. carol: dr. vinson, thank you so much. we know you will join us for this evening. michael: thinks for joining -- thanks for joining us for the commitment 2016 primary report. polls have been closed a little over eight minutes. you will find the latest on the mobile app and www.wyff4.com. carol: hillary clinton has been projected as the winner of south heavy being supported like a halter neck, it's a commitment. >> we're sitting here with a floor full of shoes.

[cheers] but america isn't a single issue country, my friends. we need more than a plan for the big banks. the middle class needs a raiu se. [applause]

[applause] and don't let anybody tell you we can't make things in america. will. [applause] let's break down the barriers that keep people on the sidelines of our economy, especially women. affordable childcare and paid family leave? don't you think it's time for equal pay for equal work? [applause] and let's break down the barriers that stop our children from getting the best possible start in life. we need to support great teachers and great schools in every zip code. [applause] let's break down the barriers holding back our young people, especially the student debt that makes it hard to imagine ever loving the life without it. -- ever living life without it. we are going to give special support to historically black colleges and universities, which play a vital role in the state and across our country. breaking down all the barriers means we also have to face the reality of systemic racism that

and that at our best, we rise together. imagine what we can all build together when each and every american has the chance to live up to his or her potential. imagine a tomorrow where no child grows up in the shadow of discrimination or under the specter of deportation. imagine a tomorrow where every parent can find a good job, every grandparent can enjoy a secure retirement. imagine a tomorrow or hard work is honor, families are supported and communities are strong. when we trust and respect each other, despite all that divides us. so please, join us in this campaign for our country's future. go to hillary clinton.com or text, join. right now.

"love never fails, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." [applause] hillary clinton: these are words to live by, not only for ourselves but also for our country. i know it sometimes seems odd, for somebody running for president these days, to say that we need more love and kindness in america.
