and this morning crews are searching for a missing boy scout after he got separated from his group in the jones gap state park. good morning, i'm myra ruiz. pamela: and i'm pamela wright thanks for joining us. we all will be winners today. spectacular. let's take a l lk this morning at a beautiful shot through our skycam. the wind is calm out there. temperatures are unequal side. it's 38 degrees, right where we should be for this time of year. the daytime high will be well above average, and not just today. we will talk about the trend coming up. it's 28 in asheville. it's 38 in toccoa. we do find some 40's on the map. it's 13 degrees warmer in abbeville than it was yesterday.

we have not a cloud to be found in its beautiful throughout the southeast and nice and dry. temperatures going from 30's this morning, jumping close to 60 by noon and we will top out in the low to mid 60's across the upstate. look at this spectacular sunshine in anderson. temperatures are in the low 60's and even in asheville, we will find low 60's today. we have some big changes for the week ahead. i will show you rain chances coming up throughout the morning. myra: thank you. we begin this morning with a developing story in greenville county. rescue crews have spent the night searching for a missing 12-year-old boy in jones gap state park. greenville county deputies are searching for john quay. investigators say he was hiking with a group of boy scouts in the park. the group discovered he was missing during a head count yesterday afternoon. crews have spent the night

ground and by helicopter. >> as everybody else is right now, we are all concerned about safety and our main focus is to try and find him as quickly as possible. myra: crews are also concerned about the cold overnight as they search for quay. if you see quay or can help authorities find him, you are asked to call the greenville county sheriff's office. we will continue to follow this story and bring you updates on air, online, and on the wyff 4 mobile app. turning to commitment 2016 this morning, the votes are in for south carolina and hillary clinton is the winner of the state's democratic primary. here's a look at the south carolina democratic primary results. hillary clinton took 74% of the votes. bernie sanders only got 26%. hillary clinton has now won south carolina, nevada, and iowa, while bernie sanders took new hampshire. >> we've now gone through four early states and i want to

running a great race and tomorrow this campaign goes national. >> i congratulate secretary clinton on her very strong victory. tuesday over 800 delegates are at stake and we intend to win many, many of them. thank you all very much. myra: our team coverage of the democratic primary continues this morning. wyff news 4's nigel robertson was with the clinton campaign in columbia. nigel: last night was a night full of energy. the race was called for hillary clinton seconds after the polls one. she won every county in the state. in front of more than 1000 people, she thanked her supporters. she even and it up calling out donald trump without using his

first. wilson says part of the reason you might not have heard of him is because of his own party. >> been totally unfair. they kept me off the debates, they said they haven't sanctioned me so therefor they say i am not a democratic candidate because we are no -- not entitled to the rights and privilege as those ones they sanction. myra: wilson finished with less than 1% in south caronlina and will also be on the ballot in 10 other ststes. in greenville county, more than 30,000 voters went to the polls. last week, roughly 93,000 people in the county voted during the republican primary. wyff news 4's corey davis has more from election headquarters on university ridge. corey: we talked with voters at

cruz and marco rubio went after donald trump yesterday in georgia, hoping to set themselves apart. both candidates also released several years of tax return information yesterday as pressure grows for donald trump to release information about his tax returns. the front runner donald trump spent yesterday in arkansas and tennessee, one day after he got a big boost and support from new jersey governor chris christie. trump also addressed his tax returns, saying he will keep them under wraps until his irs audits are finished. john kasich was with supporters yesterday in nashville, tennessee for a town hall. dr. ben carson spent time in texas before heading to colorado. the candidates now have their eyes on super tuesday. but what is super tuesday? it's 12 states including georgia and one us territory holding primaries and caucuses. here is the list of the states in which the republican and democratic primaries are held on the same day. they are alabama, arkansas, colorado, georgia, massachusetts, minnesota,

that's nothing shocking there. it's a good looking day for us. it's still quite mild on tuesday. we will have a lot more cloud coverage. we have a better chance of rain in the mountains. asheville and hendersonville will be much cooler by wednesday and the second half of the week. there will be a chance for rain and cooler temperatures. we will be done with that here at home anyway. it will be an exciting day. myra: we are covering the nation this morning, a rookie police officer was shot and killed in virginia, her first day on the job. officer ashley guindon was fatally shot while responding to a domestic shooting in prince william county. police have the shooter in custody, but the investigation in ongoing. -- is ongoing.

bachelor's degree in aeronautics and served in the marine corps before joining the police force. she was sworn in on friday. kids out in the street said they heard the gunshots and ran inside. >> i was walking up the street with three other people and we heard three to four gun shots, so we started running. and then when we got up here, we saw all the cops and we were trying to come home. and they told us to go inside. myra: two other officers were also shot at the scene. police said the two wounded officers are being treated for their injuries, but there is no word on how severe their conditions are. bloodshed at a kkk rally in anaheim, california. police arrested 13 people after klansmen and counter-protesters clashed, leading to three stabbings and another attack. at a planned kkk demonstration, police say klansmen were greeted by counter-protesters who immediately attacked the group, setting off a chain of violent confrontations. according to authorities, three-counter protesters were stabbed in separate incidents.

counter-protesters seen stomping a klansmen. >> this morning, about 11:00 a.m., there was a planned protest of the kkk. we did receive word there were going to be counter-protesters at the park. apparently, our initial reports are that when the kkk members arrived in a vehicle, maybe five of them in one vehicle, that a group of the counter-protesters immediately attacked them as they exited the vehicle. myra: at least two people in custody face charges for assault with a deadly weapon. hundreds of balloons were released into the michigan sky saturday night to honor the victims of last week's deadly shooting rampage in kalamazoo. hundreds of people gathered at seelye ford kia to honor richard and tyler smith. the father and son were shot and killed in the dealership parking lot when jason dalton went on a five-hour shooting spree last saturday. hundreds of balloons were released into the air as a

the crowd also honored the four other people killed and two other people injured. more than a hundred pythons like these have been caught in the florida everglades since last month. yanks. -- yanksikes. the snake hunt drew more than 1000 people. the goal is to reduce the burmese python population in the everglades, where the pythons are an invasive species. the largest python caught this year was a 15-footer that weighed 125 pounds. back in the carolinas, asheville police want to know who fired shots at a woman after a near traffic collision. police said the incident happened early friday morning along tunnel road near swannanoa river road. the woman told police she was in a near collision with the suspect and he fired a handgun in her direction. police said when the tried to stop the driver, he sped away. investigators are looking for a gold kia suv.

haw cree or tunnel road area. anyone that can help police find the suspect or vehicle are asked to call the asheville police department. in greenville county, the search continues for a double murder son -- suspect. he fatally shot two people at a nightclub in 2014. he was released from jail in january with an ankle monitor. records show the cutoff the ankle monitor on thursday morning. williams and his friends -- has friends. if you see him, you are asked to call 911. a care facility is celebrating because they are debt free. the rocky river residential care facility held a mortgage burning ceremony. the celebration and message place in anderson. they worked to eliminate their

myra: our morning buzz now. this was like a scene out of a child's imagination. a unicorn loose on a california highway. this is juliette, she's a 20 year old pony who spends her days making people's dreams come true by posing as a unicorn in photoshoots. on wednesday, juliette got loose, and still had her costume on. residents tried to catch her for hours with the help of california highway patrol as she ran dangerously close to traffic. finally, a resident with a horse juliette was familiar with managed to bring the unicorn back home. the pony was not hurt t d no injuries were reported. glad she made it home ok. pamela: only in california. > you are watching live, local, breaking news with myra ruiz and weather with meteorologist pamela wright. this is wyff news 4 today in

we will warm myra: taking a look at news for your health this morning. one in three americans are not getting the recommended seven hours of sleep each night. that is according to a new study by the centers for disease control and prevention. experts say that you should make sleep a priority every night just like you would make food and water a priority. medical professionals are saying that new technology is one of the reason we are not sleeping

myra: rain snow cap -- rain, snow, sunshine. disney world usually is a nice place to be. admission to mickey mouse's house may cost you a little extra. disney's properties in both orlando and anaheim are rolling out their seasonal prices for single-day tickets. the changes will let visitors look at a calendar eight to 11 months in advance to see which days are value, regular or peak. officials say value days for magic kingdom at walt disney world in orlando -- in value day -- regular days will increase $105. by five dollars, and peak days will cost officials say annual $124. pass prices won't change but multi-day ticket prices will also go up. kohl's will close 18 of its stores across the u.s. this summer. on a conference call with investors, the ceo acknowledged the planned store closures represent what's likely the
