a lot of charred remains. not a whole lot of activity here this morning. the news has gone far worse in the last few hours. the anderson county coroner says 5-year-old sophia rhodes died yesterday from her injuries. fire officials tell us the child was found between a wall and a couch in the home. the little girl was rushed to the burn unit in augusta. she died from smoke inhalation. friends of the family say sophia was the youngest of five children. aly myles wyff news 4 live in honea path. geoff: thank you. greenville police say a man was shot in the back last night. the shooting happened at the brook haven apartment complex. police say the man was brought to greenville memorial hospital and is stable. the spartanburg county coroner says the four usc upstate students killed in a crash in october had been drinking. that accident happened on fourth street near boiling springs. only one of the five students in the car survived. according to results, three of the students who died, including the driver james campbell, had a

legal limit. the coroner says he needed guidance from the state attorney general before giving out that information. the reason was because some of the victim's families fought the release. toxicology results are considered private, but coroners are not regulated by privacy laws. allyson: commitment 2016 super , tuesday is here. with so many delegates to be won or lost during the voting process today, super tuesday can reveal which candidates have the best chance at winning their party's nomination for president. geoff: republican candidate ted cruz needs to win texas if he hopes to remain in his party's race, which has been focused on frontrunner donald trump and senator marco rubio. it won't be good for democratic candidate bernie sanders if he doesn't carry his home state of vermont. allyson: now, a look at the polls. this cbs, you-gov poll was done friday before the david duke comments. trump is at 40% in georgia. ted cruz at 29%. marco rubio at 22%. ben carson at 7%.

a union county teacher has geoff: a union county teacher has resigned from her job rather than face a disciplinary hearing for pictures taken from her phone. leigh anne arthur was a mecatronics acher in the career and technology center at union county high school. she tells us she took photos of herself showing partial nudity and was going to send them to her husband. she says a student at the school accessed the pictures from her unattended phone and sent them to other students. >> he knows right and wrong. he had the ultimate decision to take pictures of my pictures and

send them out. so i don't understand why i am being held accountable. i didn't do anything except have a dumb moment for two or three minutes. geoff: arthur says she knows who the student is and forgives him. the union county sheriff's office is investigating the incident to see whether the student should be charged. allyson: an easley high school teacher has resigned after complaints about a poem he wrote and shared with students. gregory fish would hold d asses with advanced placement english literature students at the starving artist cafe. earlier this month, he shared a poem that used the f-word. parents of easley students called news 4. they say the poem also described a sexual encounter between an older man and a young girl. mr. fish resigned after being placed on administrative leave but some students say it's unfair he's gone. >> i would not be here talking to the news about any circuit news if you are not made an impact.

it warms back up to normal by saturday and a little above normal sunday and especially monday. a nice weekend and mouth beginning to next week. geoff: turning to this morning's headlines four students are hurt , after a shooting at an ohio high school. police say a 14-year-old student opened fire inside the madison junior-senior high school cafeteria monday. two students were shot and two others were hurt while trying to exit. all of their injuries are non-life threatening. police say the shooter ran from the building and dropped the weapon but was taken into custody near school grounds. allyson: one of the boston bomber's passed the u.s. citizenship test and denied terrorism links just months before the bombings. tamerlan tsarnaev died in a shootout with police days after the 2013 bombings. three people were killed and more than 260 were wounded. no errors were found in the processing of his application and no warnings were ever raised. tsarnaev and his brother
