I have been trying to find this version of Legend for over 2 decades now. Whoever uploaded this film is my fairygodmother/father. The tangerine dream version of this film is the one i remember being on tv and the one I was taken to the cinema ti see aged 5 or 6. Thankyou so much.

For those of us that grew up with this movie, nothing else can compare. The theatrical release, with Tangerine Dream covering the soundtrack, evokes pangs of a youth filled with a bewildering sense of the wonder of it all.

I couldn't find this movie anywhere else, unless I paid for it -- which I did not want and couldn't afford to do. None of my library sites had it. I can get a lot of crap movies from the library, but I was thrilled to find such a great copy on Internet Archive. I know this site is struggling to keep giving us the best of books and movies, along with text and video you can't find anywhere else. The magic of a movie like Legend is something we should all be able to share.

I bought this movie on VHS back in the late 80s. Loved it! The imagery of fantasy was brought to light for me with this film and has never escaped my memory. The unicorns were beautiful and the scenes with them fit my own imagination.
Wonderful job on the actor's makeup...kudos to the makeup dept. Tim Currey played his part as the devil so perfectly and I love the bits of comic relief mixed in by the gang! Thank you to the uploader as I still have my VHS but can't watch it!

I've previously seen 'Legend' three or four times through pirate uploads to websites I don't visit anymore. I enjoyed the movie - that is, I liked the director's cut, which is what I had only ever seen.
The other day, I thought I'd search Archive.org to see if I could find the movie here, & I came across this upload. I watched, & was left rather disappointed. I've liked Tangerine Dream ever since seeing 'Firestarter'. But other than that, there's nothing that's better about the theatrical release. It is so abbreviated when compared to the director's cut that it's hard to savour the story. It has the pacing of a children's movie but is in my opinion too scary for anybody under the age of about 11. The director's cut is constructed much better as a fairy tale for adults.

I saw this for the first time as a young child, and it has been a deep love of mine ever since! I love this movie so much!

So grateful to have found this amazing site where I can watch this magical movie with the only soundtrack that could possibly exist for this incredible film. TD have written the ultimate and totally perfect music for it. Any other music dispels the magic in the first few seconds. Thank you TD and thank you Internet Archive.
