the convective showers pretty easy to produce hail in the environment.he highest likelihood coming up tomorrow afternoon. the rain totals will be highest around the santa cruz mountains we think, where most of the moisture will be over the next couple of days. not much showing up today. when you add in saturdays numbers areas south of san jose maybe closing in a third of an inch of rain. most of that is focused towards monterey. this is a cold system so the snow totals in the sierra, very impressive. this is encouraging, looking at maybe more than a foot above 8,000 feet. unlike other systems this is going to drop snow as low as 4,000 feet so starting 4:00 this afternoon into saturday, winter weather advisory in the sierra could see some change in controls up through the weekend. the weather trend over the next five days a few showers possible later today. saturday looks to be the main event, the skies begin to clear, we dry out briefly on sunday. one more pretty weak system there on monday and skies clear again as we approach next tuesday. now to see if
