you can see that moisture moving across areas in cleveland on southward into cincinnati.here. we have an area of low pressure that's over arkansas and eastern sections of oklahoma so this moisture will work its way out of the southeast over the ohio valley and into our region overnight tonight and into the start of our saturday. future tracker 6 will time it out for you. , see by midnight in philadelphia we're still dry and quiet but it is approaching lancaster county getting into southern sections of chester county right through wilmington and dover as well. as we go throughout the overnight hours if you're out on the town very late tonight make sure you have the wet weather gear with you. it continues as we get into 9 o'clock in the morning on saturday and some steady rainfall overhead. we could find anywhere from a half inch to an inch of rainfall before this is all said and done. 3:30 in the afternoon the moisture will start to taper off. it will start to rain in intensity as we go throughout a west to east direction as we get into the afternoon and evening hours on s

right now, the satellite image shows clouds and moisture coming our way, a long stream of moisture, as a matter of fact. but not much of it is going to hit the ground. we are loogt mostly high and mid-level clouds. here's the forecast animation starting at 11:00 tonight. spotty sprinkles overnight and into the morning hours. and that's about it. it will wind down tomorrow evening and we'll be left with very little if anything in the way of measurable rainfall. in the sierra, not much snow is likely either. maybe 1 to 2 inches between 7,000 and 8,000 feet. but that's not very much. so snow pack will remain well below average. overnight, cloudy skies, low temperatures in the low to mid-50s. relatively mild. tomorrow, a little bit of sun breaking through but otherwise mostly cloudy in the south bay, upper 60s will be the rule. 68 at san jose on the peninsula. mid to upper 60s, about 67 at palo alto. 60 at pacifica. 62 at half moon bay. many coastal locations won't even reach 60 degrees. we'll see a high of 64 in downtown san francisco. north bay, highs under rather cloudy skies tomorrow,

so here's the closer perspective of that moisture. a lot of moisture right now. this is all rain showing up in grown. moving through louisiana arkansas as well as parts of missouri and this will head in our direction. not tomorrow but early on friday you can see it look like a dry and cloudy start. and then as we roll the clock ahead by 9:00 a.m. we're looking at that moisture rain and snow moving in from the west. temperatures will be marginal but it look like the heaviest of the rain and snow will begin around noon and continue through about 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon. and you can see by 3:00 we're still looking at temperatures marginal but the green, that is rain and central southern sections of delaware extreme south jersey and then where you see this blue purple color that is the wet snow expected across our area. so the afternoon and evening commute will be kind of slippery and slushy. most of that snow will accumulate on the grassy surface surfaces. car tops as well as houses because of that march sun angle. let's take look at one of our computer model

the the bulk of moisture is obvious, your eyes are drawn off to the west, we have seen a hint of moisture creeping in here through southern most delmarva and southern most new jersey. some showers. there were a few rumbles of thunder. we had had lightening strikes showing up here but fog is your initial concern, so watch out for that. it is patchy, granted but there are some issues with that this morning. as the day progresses, you'll run into pockets of rain and drizzle and once the cold front crosses through it will bring with it for the most part non-severe thunderstorms and likely will end up by the time it is all said and done with a half an inch give or take worth of total rainfall because it will come through in the the scattered nature. ponding on the roadway is a given. you will notice win kicking in getting rid of the fog and brings with it its own fair share of problems. strong enough wind gusts can send your trash down the road. we are off to a milder start but still chilly enough to wear a jacket. 33 degrees meanwhile in allentown, 34 in reading. as the day progresses we will

still moisture around in the air. you don't want moisture on top of fresh snow as temperatures go down below freezing. 6 a.m. still some places with practically no visibility. now we watch the temperatures. those places are right at the freezing point right now. others barely above it. so, we watch that as we go through the evening. along with the snow ending. holding close, allentown, pottstown, through the night. we have to monitor the temperatures, degree by degree, hour by hour. because we do have the possibility of freezing drizzle and icing that would result. so, the snow ending early. you saw it on the radar. the back edge of it continues to move it away. and from west to east. and then a chance of freezing drizzle. by morning, the low 30. in philadelphia, 28 north and west. tomorrow morning fog. that snow going to be around. it's not going to melt until later in the day. it will start melting pretty nicely, although we've got a lot of clouds during the day tomorrow. then another little cold shot coming on sund

not much moisture in the country now, but there's the storm. lots of moisture in mexico already. the futurecast shows the storm moving into texas. pick up some gulf of mexico moisture out of this so it becomes a bigger area. then we're going to pick up some atlantic moisture. that's a large area of precipitation and enough cold air in the northwest side to produce some snow. this is one model suggesting heavier snow to the north and west. that's probably the way it will end up. but there is a chance of snow a cross a pretty decent portion of our area. for at least a part of the storm. it won't be all snow but a lot of precipitation. 38 north and west with a chance of shower toward day break. windy, partly sunny by afternoon. 55 north. 65 south. that range of temperatures is what you'll see. on wednesday, everybody's cold and windy. thursday's everybody cold but not windy. friday here comes the storm. a high of only 38 as we start spring at 6:45 p.m. it could be snowing in parts of the area by then. another cold blast starting on sunday. >>> i'm john clark. coming up cliff lee wil
