apparently pierson was on the speech and debate team.e 15-year-old girl came across pierson's path, that is when authorities say he shot her. and when the shots rang out, it sent more than 2,000 students in the school running to hiding. >> we heard the gunshot and we got in the corner. the lights were off. we heard him yanking on the door. then we all tried to stay as quiet as possible. then we heard a pause and more gunshots farther down. >> authority say the targeted teacher left the school. and apparently a couple of minutes later, pierson turned the gun on himself and took his own life. we tell you that last night authorities searched his home and they look for mote i here to figure out if it was revenge that motivated him to go to the school with the shotgun. we can tell you that students say that pierson was nice, and very smart and a gifted debater and many say they were shocked that he actually went in and started shooting in to their school. as for the response, uma, we can tell you that authorities say things went very well. ev

does pierson have to go?nk the president needs to have a long conversation with jay johnson and his security team but there is this pattern, as you've pointed out correctly, chris, of security lapse and then coverup. and it's gone on, this is multiple times. we have the incident in 2011 where you had a shooter shoot at the white house hitting the white house six or seven times, and then four days later, they discovered the white house had been attacked. we picked up mr. gonzalez back in july. he had 11 weapons including several sniper rifles and scopes and red light laser scopes, those were, you know, those were the ideal weapon to go after the president at the white house. they knew he had mental illness. they picked him up several weeks later outside the white house with a hatchet in his belt. >> right. >> and on both occasions they let him go. i mean, where do the red flags start? they don't have to incarcerate the person necessarily, and they discussed the problems dealing with people with mental illness.
