. >> a day after lawmakers failed to reach a decision on a recent pit bull ruling. jennifer franciotti is live. them are around 5:00 last night harford county deputies were called to the location in edgewood with a report of two pit bulls roaming. investigators say one of the dog tried to charge an 11-year old boy and a deputy. the deputy open fire and it apparently took four shots. the other pit bull was found later by animal control and we are told the 11-year-old had to be treated for injuries. it comes as lawmakers are not able to come up with a plan to deal with a recent ruling that pit bulls are inherently dangerous. the ruling states landlords and payable owners could be held liable for injuries caused by pit bulls, including animals without a history of violence. animal activists and workers at. shelters are concerned. >> for our shelter and other shelters, we are inundated. full to capacity. we will be taking in a higher volume. probably less adoptions. what does it mean? more euthanasia of animals who would otherwise have a home. >> pit bulls supporters ar

we have a big old cone that in is a tropical storm. we have hurricane hunter planes investigating the system, and it is 75 miles wet of the leeward islands. the biggest blow up of activity in terms of showers and thunderstorms is southwest of the center of the storm. this is a large system, though, 200 miles away from the center of the storm we feel the effects on both sides. already, we are seeing rain showers moving across the dominican republic and into port risk coy. as of 11:00, here is the direction. we get a new advisory at 5:00 p.m. as we go further in time, we do think that it has the capability to strengthen into a hurricane, just in this area, and we think it also has the capability to move across cuba and of course as we go further in time, the cone gets bigger and the center of where we think the storm will travel, the key is in south florida. yes, make some preparations right now. i know you will ask me about my models, but i am just telling you what i see. the models, some of them, go into a cone of uncertainty. this is
