we have a little bit of a break.tures the last few days not as hod but today -- not as hot but today temperatures back up, for some into the middle 90s. it is still fairly humid. it looks like tomorrow may be more muggy in the afternoon. so the heat index values may be just a little bit higher. we start with sentinel radar, nothing really out there right now. but that wasn't the case earlier this afternoon. as we get closer to the city, you can see sometimes these little thunderstorms can hide behind the letters on the graphic but that is not the case. but if we go back three hours, late this afternoon we did have some showers and some thunderstorms blow up right over the eastern parts of the city, move to the north and to the northeast. not so much in downtown. this just stayed over on the eastern beltway toward bowie, mitchellville and eventually toward the bay. and that all has settled down quite quickly. we could potentially see a little bit more this evening but if we do, it should be very, very spotty out there
