a little warmup yesterday. looks like we will trim those back just a shade as we have an increase in the on shore push and a little bit more fog. that fog is being lifted by that system right there. that will weaken as it comes in. i will tell you the pattern i have noticed it doesn't take much to get fog going. the cooling trend we have topped out yesterday. the system will stay mainly to the north and it's weak. it will usher in a much cooler pattern. especially as we head into saturday and sunday. there won't be much left. we will get higher clouds out of it. a couple upper 40s or mid 40s. most locations with the cloud cover. san jose overcast. 54. concord very windy. 52 degrees. napa is 52 and 50 san rafael. 50s on the peninsula including redwood city. west, southwest a sea breeze. system doesn't have much too it. it takes that fog and says i'm sending you higher and farther inland. so low clouds and fog will give away to sunshine. cool for some. westerly breeze though. close to yesterday. 50s, 60s, and low

everything settling a little bit. doesn't have to be settling a lot but if it settles a quarter of an inch over 10 years, part of it is going to settle more than another part and the inherent materials actually have different properties that allow them to shrink and swell. for example, a wood building when it gets humid shrinks and swells. here's an interesting building. it has three different construction types, materials on its finish. it's got this brick -- what do they call that? clinker brick? is that what it's called? yeah, clinker brick, where it's sticking out. when i was young i used to climb on buildings to practice my rock climbing skills. clinker brick buildings. and then above it we have, i think that's shingles and then above that we have a wood siding. so three different types of material makes it a little more challenging even to maintain this building. and we're talking about painting. you've got to maintain your building and paint it. here's a building that is painted up to the height of their ladder,

a little windy out there. what's going on, rob? squaw valley, a foot of new snow falling in the last 24 hours. pretty incredible pictures there. around the bay area, it is much drier, the rain has moved on but the wind really picked up. upper 60s in oakland, 58 in san francisco, west wind at 26 miles per hour. and in san jose, 68 degrees. notice the humidity, it is dry, it has helped to clear out our skies but will also set us up for a pretty chilly night. we'll see temperatures dropping off into the low 40s in many places. so 60s to low 70s up around santa rosa. 68 around san jose. winds will be a story for the first half of the night, 15 to 30 miles per hour. as you can see, the moisture is right over the sierra where the snow continues to flow as low as 4500 feet, even down towards yosemite. this is a bit of a break before our next system rolls in as we go into tomorrow. first we'll see increasing clouds. part of this chilly pattern that's going to take us into june, possibly with some record-breaking low high temperatures come
