she is a mother of two. she recently got a job as a truck driver for waste management. she is one of five women with that job in alameda county. it has changed her life and put her on the road to accomplishing a dream. >> reporter: she knows when she is rolling down the street in this truck, sometimes she attracts attention. that does not bother her. she loves what she does and this job comes with good and bad. >> i will start with the worst. the worst is the smell. is awful. it makes me sick. the best part is, getting the experience. driving this is amazing. people are amazed when they see a woman driving this truck. a lot of women come to me and ask about the job. they are inspired. i am really doing a positive thing. >> reporter: she is a pioneer. in alameda county, waste management has 348 drivers. only five of them are women. in the company's northern california and nevada region, there are only 17 female drivers in a pool of more than 1000. the people she wants to impress the most are the two she goes home to every night. >> i have an eight-year-old daughter. my s
