a.c. transit bus too close. >> move forward, you lazy [ bleep ] driver. >> camacho heard the driver cussing. then he started slurring his speech. >> i'm a professional driver. >> coach camacho decided to go to the back the bus and call for help. >> just as i was talking to 911, he decides to make a u-turn on 26th and geary. he made a wide turn and hit a telephone pole. >> the big white bus is owned by charter brothers. the bus driver stopped and went to the restroom in the back of the bus. that's when the coach got all of his swim team members out. friedman was arrested and had his first court appearance in front of a judge today. he pleaded not guilty. according to the district attorney's office, he has to wear an alcohol monitor. he's not allowed to drive, and he has a protective order against him on behalf of the teenagers on the bus. camacho says most of his students didn't realize what was happening until the driver hit a pole. >> everybody's fine. luckily nobody got hurt. >> reporter: we did make several attempts this evening to get a hold of bus driver aaron friedman for comment and

a.c. transit, that service is in question at the moment because some of it was -- some of service is fundedy bart pilot that is expiring. so we'll need some new funding to implement the service recommendation there is. turning to location specific improvements, we worked with a couple of interested business districts here to conduct surveys of employers and employees. and identify what some needs were specifically in those neighborhoods, but could be generalized to other areas in the city. those include safety improvements, and lighting improvements as well as better access to transit information and so in addition to the city wide efforts and recommending as the agencies on the late night network and the vision zero network, we make sure we are incorporating the late night needs going forward. we launched a couple of rounds of the services that exist on the street with the portal and a number of portals to point folks to that portal. it resulted in significantly increased traffic, so people are learning more about that. we recommend as we move forward that both transit agencies and m.t.c.
