a.g. carlin: we will start with that. that is a hard question. it bears a little on the question earlier where you have to cover some of these events, and publicly charge them. but, unfortunately, that means that some of the methods get out into the community. it is a good area of research why, for most people, when you learn about these events, their reaction is that it is horrifying and you cannot imagine why someone would do that and it does not lead you to use similar tactics or techniques. but, clearly, there is a small audience for which it does. researchers -- research as to why that might be the case and avenues to get to those individuals and keep them from committing their own acts will be very important. -- leadingbelieve over in unusual ways. one case in new york, where it was individuals who were motivated by islamic extremist groups. as they did internet research on up the, they looked bombing methods used in the oklahoma city bombings. you do see overlap. on encryption -- this is one thing where it is important to have a discussion
