aaron adelson with more on the situation. aaron. >> aaron: larry, it is a mess back down that way. all day people were running late to appointments, if they could find a parking spot. once they did, they tracked mud through the stores. just up the road there, the fire department had to rescue people from their car floating away. swannanoa river road swallowed up. around 1:00 a.m., a father and daughter got stranded. they tried to drive through the water covered road. the fire department came to rescue them. >> some folks said, hey, att least it's not raining anymore. but i don't think as they walk around, nobody's been really aware kind of the chaos we've been dealing with. >> aaron: there's work on the road but it looks a whole lot better than biltmore village. it's hard to erase the force of the storm. it will take time. brooks brothers needs a new floor. the manager feels thankful nothing else was damaged. >> i opened the doors to basically kind of a silt covered floor everywhere. fortunately, i don't think that there was more than a couple of inches. >> aaron: the cleaning crew
