aaron david miller is a scholar at the woodrow wilson center. he advised several secretary of states at least six secretaries of state. he knows diplomacy and negotiations. i want to get inside that room right now. the secretary says there is no deal yet. what i want to know are they pretty much done right now? is this all over except for the signing and the dotting the "i"'s and crossing the "t"'s? >> if the breakthroughs aren't in now, houston, we have a problem. the issue has to be how to render them into language that allows iran and the united states to remain on the same page after the agreement is done verification access to military sites, what to do to limit iran's research and development on tencentrifuges. there are no apparent crises. you don't see the lead negotiator back to tehran. you don't hear them saying the americans are forcing us to capitulate. there's an effort to lower expectations on the part of the secretary of state. clearly a sense there's so much invested and so much to lose. frankly, i would be stunned. i know about

i spoke to aaron david miller a short time ago. was working with six different state departments over the years. by watching what is going on there, no one's hair is on fire there. no one is yelling and screaming saying it's going to fall apart. no one walked out in a huff. isn't it reasonable to infer by that that this is about to be -- there is about to be a deal there? >> i think you need to be careful, john. there has been progress made but there are still very difficult decisions that haven't been reached yet. i think one of the reasons why you're not seeing people with hair on fire is because they've been working at this for two or three years now. this is the culmination of an awful lot of work. so there are disagreements to be hashed out. but in general, i mean, these are ministers that have known each other, worked with each other now on the particular issue for some time. and they're just working through their way through it. >> so disagreements about what? as we sit here this morning, how about anywhere any time inspecti
