with more on this morning's veenlts, let's check in with "news4's" aaron gilchrist on the east side of the capitol. aaron, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you as well, eun. we're on the east side of the capitol because this is where the pope will enter in just a few hours before he heads inside the speaker's office. this will look very much like what you're used to seeing with the state of theionion address. there will be all the lawmakers. members of the cabinet will be there, members of the supreme court will be there as well and the pope will speak for maybe about 40 minutes or. so we don't know exactly what he'll say, but as some people have talked about, maybe he might address some controversial issues. this pope is not one to stray away from those sorts of things. he sort of hinted yesterday that he'll be speaking about the white house. i believe this is something the former chemist will speak about again today. we'll all be listening very closely to see exactly what he talks about and how lawmakers here react to his message. many of the clergy from this area says the

. >> reporter: and i'm aaron gilchrist on the east capitol. he'll speak with members of congress later on. he has a full day before he heads back to vatican city. this is where the pope will arrive. already this morning we've seen u.s. capital police moving around here, making sure that everything is in place security wise for the pope before he arrives. there are congressional staffers so they'll be able to see him as well. about 9:00 this morning we expect the pope to leave here. there will be many road closures as the pope moves through town we saw that yesterday. he's expected to arrive at the capitol at roughly 9:15. he'll go into the speaker's ceremonial offices here. speaker boehner and the pope will meet inside his office for about 20 minutes. after that he'll head to the chambers to meet with congress. congress has been told to avoid, pretty much not reach out and have side conversations with him as he enters the chambers with him. we expect them to speak for 30, 40 minutes or so. we don't know exactly what he will say, but some of th

i'm aaron gilchrist, news 4 midday starts right now. >>> this didn't happen in a metro station. we want to clarify that. this happened near the stadium armory station on the other side of east capitol street. this happened amid the morning rush. it's a transformer fire, we're told. this is on the grounds of rfk stadium's parking lot as those rails go underground it wasn't on the rail, but it did affect rail service. we understand no one was injured. firefighters were on the scene. they had to get under the tracks and get to that transformer to put that fire out. the affect is being felt all over the system. the orange line, all services is suspended between eastern market and minnesota avenue. you will find buses on either end of those stations to get to you your destination, get you on the other side of the closed stations. the silver line, service is suspended between eastern market and bening road. b buses on either end. the blue line, buses running from franconia to rose rosalyn. we don't have word from metro about when they will have the situation rectified. no one was inju
