authorities say aaron nathaniel mccoy was driving a car that matched the description of a car that was involved in several burglaryies when it crashed. >> according to investigators, it started with a burglary and ended with a suspect pronounced dead at shock trauma. three cars smashed into each other, one wrapped around a utility poll. >> we heard an ambulance so i thought i would come up and see what was going on but i had no idea the magnitude of the tragedy. my goodness, somebody died. >> the incident began several miles north of the crash site around 2:30. there was a burglary at a home in the 3200 block of vance road. according to investigators, spotted a vehicle matching the getaway car description and tried to pull the driver over but he refused to stop and a passenger got out and ran. >> at this point, we pulled back patrol cars because we don't want the suspect to flee. want to initiate a chase. we do, however, follow the suspect vehicle from the air in one of our police helicopters. >> minutes later, the suspect tried to pass and then collided with a jeep traveling south on
