she says she used to hate being in a wheelchair, but then she spotted an american called aaron wetheringtonmy life completely. before i was actually riding, i was quite down and didn't like my disability and i was very shy. and since i started ridingi was very shy. and since i started riding i have become a lot more confident and happy, met some amazing people and done some amazing things. amazing things like this: after becoming the first woman in europe to do a wheelchair backflip, lily went on to win the world title, having finished second the year before. it was extraordinarily emotional. it was part of the evolution of somebody who wasn't confident and that was kind of the springboard for her. you can just do it like this. lily isn't one to sit back and reflect on her own success. she is hoping to inspire more disabled children take on the sports. i enjoy the sport so much and they want to share it with eve ryo ne and they want to share it with everyone else. we are just a normal skate park, and just because we are differently abled doesn't mean that we can't interact with everyone els
