this morning, two uniformed officers in a patrol car were working on the department's stolen car abatement program. they announced a parked stolen car, tried to make contact with the female driver. a witness says the driver fled the scene crashing into a truck. officers got out of their cars and ran down for further investigation. the witness says that the person in the car, the suspect was kind of going back and forth with the car. putting it in reverse, and putting it in forward position and drive position. ultimately what happened was that one officer a sergeant fired a single shot striking the suspect, they administrated cpr but she died later at the hospital. she's a 27-year-old african american woman. we don't know if she had any sort of weapon in her car. the two officers were interviewed separately this morning. and the department of justice was on sign. we have spoke ton a number of people involved in the coalition. they are pretty angry about this shooting because this is the third one to happen in just the past six months. they are planning protests. they're supposed to be arriv
