joining me now is abbey huntsman. you for coming on the show tonight. >> thanks, rev. >> how did the right get to a place where they're blasting the pope over poverty? >> first of all, i couldn't agree more with this pick. it's uplifting, positive. this is a man -- >> you're talking about him being time person of the year. >> this is a man who has changed the tone, the perception and even the focus, really, of one of the largest institutions in the world. this is a man that really doesn't like to on stes with the small things but focus on the big picture. and he does it with compassion. what he like about him is he has this unique ability to talk about controversial issue, abortion, fwa rights, in a way that makes people feel accepted and comfortable. that is something the republican party is still trying to figure out. you would think in a world we live in where fewer people are attending church this man, i would think that they would embrace him. i am surprised they would push back on this man. >> they use religion
