>> well, abby and phil, it's a great question.right now is that the investigators are moving fast on a lot of different fronts. that is what appears to be happening here. they're telling donald trump that he's very likely to be indicted sending him that target letter and then also scheduling these witness interviews, the ones that we know of so far is that there is a former trump lawyer who's scheduled to come in next month to sit for an interview, and then also bernie kerik, a man who was very close to rudy giuliani who was working on that effort to gather election frauld and come up with plans after the election for donald trump. the special counsel's office also want documents from him. he's pushed back on a lot of inquiries for records that he has in his possession when congress asked for them, when people in a civil lawsuit asked for them, and so that is a track of the investigation that still exists. now, the thing that when you look at this, it doesn't aull mean that the special counsel's office has one case and one case al

>> reporter: yes, abby. key development in the last hour or so.he russian ministry of defense has come out and explicitly called this retaliation. they are saying that the target was a facility near odesa that manufactured apparently what they're called uncrude boat. they accused ukraine of using these very uncrude boats, maritime drones to attack the bridge on monday. russia is saying they hit several fuel facilities near odesa and mykolaiv. russia is saying it hit all the targets it intended to hit. it's unclear if that's the case because ukraine on the flip side its air force is saying it shot down all six cruise missiles launched towards odesa from the black sea and says it shot down most of the three dozen attack drones that were launched at that region. so, you know, two different versions of events. and we are seeing some damage on the ground in odesa. that according to the ukrainian side is from falling debris, which continues to be a major threat. as for going forward, i think, look, it's hard to distinguish russian retaliation from the g

that is a record high, abbie, for the third month in a row. good news for women and the economy. >> what is now the not so good news -- maybe it's bad news, maybe it's meh news -- in this report? >> we should note that job growth was lowered in both april and may significantly, so we need to keep an eye on revisio here. also, we a seeing somearts of the economy show some weakness. when you look at the sector breakdown, you can see that retail, wholesale, transportation, all of them lost thousands of jobs last month alone. leisure and hospitality, job growth slowed there. we are seeing aggressive hiring from at least two areas, health care and government. but it does feel like some of the strength has sort of narrowed, so we also have to keep an eye on that. i do think big picture, when you look at all of these numbers, it shows the job market is in a healthy place. justin wolfers, university michigan professor told me, quote, this is what the early stages of a soft landing looks like, and that is really incredible, abby, because many economist

abby? >> and ben, today we also learned that the zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the biggest of its kind in europe, has been reconnected to backup power, but it's still, quote, extremely fragile according to the international atomic agency's director. what is the latest on control of that facility? >> reporter: it remains under russian control. the facility, the nuclear power plant, the biggest in europe, is in shutdown mode. but it's important to keep the reactors cool and the water in the reactors cool. but according to the head of ukrainian intelligence who last week said that the russians had mined the cooling pools to the reactors and also had deployed explosive filled trucks outside four of the six reactors at the plant. in addition to that, there's this puzzling news that the russians are actually pulling -- it appears technical staff out of the power plant and sending them elsewhere. at the same time, they have planted mines around the grounds of the nuclear power plant, as well.
