joining me now is abby huntsman and irin carmon, editor at salon.com. when you first heard romney say binders of women, what was your response? >> well, when i first heard the question i knew it was going to be a huge challenge for him to answer. romney is given internet ammunition to mock him for the rest of the week which is a really bad place to be with less than three weeks to go. but, listen, the question that was asked was about equal pay rights for women and not only did he not answer the question but he went on to say that women need more flexible hours, that they should be home making dinner for the kids. i think romney is still living in 1968 when in fact we are in the 21st century, where women want equality. we don't want to be treated any differently. >> irin, if you look at the fact that david bernstein reports the binder did exist but it was put together by a bipartisan group called mass gap before he was even elected to, quote, from bernstein, they did the research and put together the binder full of women qualified for all the different c

joining me now is abby huntsman, host and producer of huff post live. inton for the debates four years ago. thank you to you both for being here. >> great to be here. >> abby, what's the biggest danger for governor romney tonight? >> reverend, let me start by wishing you a happy birthday tonight. >> you have a file on me, i hear. i hope everything is fine or good. >> i think we'll survive unless you can't hear me but i would say the biggest challenge that mitt romney has is he's in a box. no matter what he says, it's likely he says the complete opposite in his past. look, people are wanting to see the real mitt romney. they want to know who he really is. i think his biggest challenge is not being himself. >> now, your dad, jon huntsman, was a candidate against him and debated against him. did you have a problem, which romney is going to show snup. >> that's what people are asking, is the conservative romney or moderate romney when he ran against senator kennedy or a whole different version of romney? but i will say, the only way he's going to knock presi

[laughter] and the one that will keep me out of trouble, no doubt. there will be all the predictable finger pointing and the blame game. that will sort i.t. out as is the case at the end of any losing campaign. and the party will wander for awhile it may be a little bit like yugoslavia at the end of communism where you have -- [laughter] several entities that kind fall out of one. and they have no real direction governance or leadership and takes awhile to sort that out. and i don't know what that means longer term when you look at the viability of the party, i think we're going to have come around and recognize we have to stay relevant, you have to stay consistent with demographic changes if you're going to be a viable party, you have
