fox5's abby theodros talked to police about the fatal exchange and fills us in on what they the pursuit ended in this neighborhood after officials say a man believed to be wanted for attempted murder fled from u.s. marshalls. that's when metro police were called to assist in apprehending the suspect. two officers then arrived to the area of guilded crown court where they encountered the man. they say the situation escalated when the man would not listen to their commands and approached them all while carrying a cell phone they thought was a gun. capt. matt mccarthy: because of the officers believed the suspect was wanted for attempted murder because this was a residential area and believed he was armed they shot and struck him several times. the suspect was pronounced dead on the scene. police have not yet released the man's identity or what brought him to las vegas - but police say they're still uncovering the details of this investigation. more details are expected in the coming days. no officers, agents or injured in the shooting. polcie also tell us there is not threat to the public
